Way too much artistic license.
But two frustrating and interrupted shoots later this is it.

Nothing wrong with artistic licence! I love this, the sepia, the colour on your lap, excellent! And good on your for persisting until you got it :)

And so I must unveil my offering. I agree with others who said it was hard. My photographer had to get into all sorts of contortions to get his tall frame into the bathroom with me but still get me all in! I'm disappointed that the shower spray doesn't show up better, and I had to improvise for the pearls.
This is exquisite! Thank you and your photographer, brava!! :rose:

That is art though, it's how you see it and your vision is always lovely!! :rose:
Oh dear,

No wonder my ears were burning today. It seems I have caused quite a bit of frustration. I hear they are cursing me over in the gentleman's thread too.:D

You know, I didn't call these "challenges" for nothing.;)

And we accept those challenges! The cussing is just us suffering for our art!

Challenge #7

Lovely Ladies of Lit,

We find ourselves on another Wednesday morning (at least in my time zone) and therefore, time for your next challenge. I had hoped to find something that would embody the Halloween spirit, and thus came across the sorceress of Greek mythology, Circe.

For your next challenge, I give you a choice of two renditions of Circe, the first by Wright Barker and the second by John William Waterhouse:

I'm looking forward to to seeing these interpreted. Have any of you got a goddess harp and a pride of lions?:D

I think this is my least favourite challenge yet. The pose did nothing for my body and I am amazed at how well Tali's came out.

Right, in colour, with a watercolour, canvas finish. Here is my rendition... (and yes, hand on wrong leg, etc).

What a beautiful sculptural look you've captured here.
:rose::kiss:

I like your interpretation, and I LOVE your feet in this one!

I like your twist on the theme.

And goodness, all the comments on this challenge have me thoroughly intrigued to attempt it. Late, but eventually.

Imagine how the original model suffered while Rubens faffed around with those oils and canvas.

I'd have been annoyed he painted her legs weirdly. Lol

That's yet to be determined. ;)

Thanks Mara. It was difficult to get a nice angle.

I risked life and limb and went with the first one.
