The Living Works of Art Challenge

You look so good H, that I almost don't want to ask for my bedsheet back.

I said you could have it back when you claim it in person! Thank you...

Woo hoo!! I'd help you rumple that sheet!!

Is that a pool net? :)

We use it for fishing algae and weed out of the pond! Oh, and rumpling is always welcome in this house... ;):rose:

Crumpled sheets are usually a sign of great things.

I think you've executed the Poseidon of Melos very well.

Thank you, Icy! Our sheets are permanently crumpled... ;):rose:

Gorgeous!

Thank you!

So I was wondering, why is Poseidon's toga falling down? Then it hit me: the guy is the sea god, so of course he's wet all the time, and so is the toga. The hand that is out is not for holding his missing trident, but is for summoning some Greek gym attendant to get him a towel. Also, as other Poseidon statues show, he eventually gave up on trying to keep dry and covered, especially when surfing (hope I am not jumping the gun on next week's challenge or otherwise breaking the museum's rules).

I always love seeing what fun interpretations you think of.
Well done.😘

Look at the sexy glendale. An over acheiver giving us not one but two poses. Too sexy,,,, much too sexy.

Doubles doses of your sexiness can cause hearts to race and blood pressure to rise.

...another crumpled sheet! Not a patch on JRP's excellent effort, in my opinion, but here is my Poseidon of Melos:

Ah, it's the kinder, gentler Poseidon, with a net for persuading his subjects rather than a pointy trident. Very nice.

I can always trust you to dream up completely different interpretations of the artwork. Great job.

Your Poseidon has great Attitude! Well done, Hornblende. :rose::kiss:

Thank you Mara! :rose:

A fine effort, as always, MrG!

use of the pool net in lieu of a trident I give you A+ for creativity and execution, for sexiness that is off the charts....

*Blushes* - thank you so much, Lovely, :rose:

I always like your creative takes on the challenges each week. Very nicely done.

Love your twist on the challenge, Glendale! :rose::kiss:

Just wanted to say it here too, I like very much.

Hopefully I can do this...

...one today at some point. I hope mine turns out as well as some of the ones so far. Well done gentlemen!!

I'm glad I've walked through the museum first thing this morning. Every piece is amazing. The quality of the poses you gentlemen provide! I love it.

Another great piece glendale or I should say pieces! I LOVE that surfer pose, nothing like hanging 11!!! ;)

Ooh, a wet toga. Hell yes. I can write a few Greek letters. Does that qualify me for at least a try-out for the gym attendant position?

As I said before, I always love seeing your pleased comments. Thank you.

Double thanks for the effusive praise.:rose:

I'm glad you both like the post and that it did not upset the program. Your renditions are great and push me to make mine something else too.

I always like your creative takes on the challenges each week. Very nicely done.

Thank you for coming in often with such kind words.:rose:

To quote MsG, when I hear your comments, I think mmmmmmmm.....:rose:

Hang 11? Now there's a naughty idea that would have spiced up those Beach Blanket Bingo movies. Thanks for putting the thought in my head.

I'm familiar with missionary and doggie and others, but I am not familiar with the gym attendant position. But, yes, I am sure you qualify for more than just a try-out. And thanks for the sweet words.

Just wanted to say it here too, I like very much.

And I like very much too.

Behind

No, not my behind (for a change). I've fallen behind on supporting JRP's continuing education Art Appreciation class. Sorry, my life got busy. It still is busy but a small group of tenacious and appreciative students got my Apollo cleaned up for display.

Mournful Loaner Axe Gang was here.

Bollocks! Always a bloody American taking a selfie at the worst possible time!

Cheers

Well the students did a good job. About time too, sheesh.
Is that one of your students with the selfie? I don't recall a single American among the cleaning crew last night.

A new page again? Really?
