The annual Pride Picnic is the largest GLBT family friendly event held in Tarrant County. Located in the heart of Trinity Park, the picnic overlooks the river and features a DJ and live entertainment, group activities and friendly competitions. A free Pride Kids Zone for the kids is a big hit and Community Booths representing organizations will educate and encourage support. Beer, beverages and good picnic food are served by local GLBT organizations and volunteers.

As me and Chris attended this festive occasion, I took a few photos and so did Chris.

You can see the photos we took HERE.

Two thumbs up!
Thank you, that's very nice of you. Sorry it took so long to get back with a reply.

But your kind words will encourage me to post future events I attend. And I very much appreciate your enthusiasm ! :)

Hey that was fun looking through those :)
doesn't look too busy though - were you there early?

Hi Sticky.

Maybe ? We actually arrived an hour after everything was setup. It was not as big an event as last year. We did go and check out every tent, it just wasn't a huge turnout.

Chris did call his friends to come join us, they did show up, but even they agreed it wasn't a big turnout and not as many art and craft tents.

Now, Gay Pride Parades, those are a lavish and lush production. Very nice. Next time I get to one, I will certainly take photos of all the floats and events. That will look a lot better than the GP picnic we went to.

Yea, but sometimes when things are quiet, you get more of a chance to talk to people.

We did. It wasn't altogether quiet.

When I took a picture of that outdoor concert, it was rather loud. I couldn't get too close to it. Chris didn't want to go anywhere NEAR it because the music was so loud.

Where he positioned the two chairs for us to relax was really quite close to the entrance and the furthest from the noise.

Two of his friends showed up. We shook hands and talked a bit, but I didn't really know them. They just talked about where they were all still working and the situation around them. I couldn't join that conversation easily as I retired at 30.

We are all about the same age, however. Near 50.

Thanks for sharing! Being on the front lines, such as you are, I admire your willingness to share:)

As Chris was my driver I could certainly tell him about the Toronto Pride Parade and we will try to attend and take photos of. Thanks for commenting, Halen !
