someone sent me this earlier....very hot

But personally? I'm going for the feet rather than the ass, the ass is so cliched and never underestimate the sensitivity of the soles of the feet.

Oh and while were talking conspiracy, let's not forget to account for the shots that came from the grassy knoll. :D

Okay. You all now have me ready to confess. It's time to come clean.

I was the guy that helped Neil Armstrong down the ladder on the sound stage that was set up in the Nevada desert when we faked the moon landing.

Damn. That felt good to finally get that off my chest. :)

I've got four Navajo friends that say that never happened. How do they know? They never got a check for the use of their land and the one that they did get was for the practice before hand. But who ever believes the Indians.

And we are supposed to believe YOU about anything?

Maybe after you spill the beans that you are really Jack Ruby and have been in the CIA's private witness protection program for the last 40 years. :D

Hmmm. Suddenly you and pilot being buddy-buddy is making sense. ;)

They do. And, yes, it is a big hassle to do. You have to modify the packets you machine sends, replacing the IP address and all the IP header information, etc., etc., etc. A lot of trouble for very little reward.

Won't using a Tor browser do essentially the same thing? Make it much harder (though not impossible) to trace the path between the sending and receiving server, and thus obscure the identity of the IP address of the person sending?

Edited: I'd much rather get shit-faced, but still have a lot of work to do tonight. In fact, I may be pulling a near all-nighter. Damn, I thought I was over that...

I guess. I haven't found the need to use Tor. I really don't need anything on the darknet. Well, not yet anyway.

Anyone can vote twice. Once anon once by user handle

That's incorrect.

They don't use 1's which are swept by general rule.

Incorrect. You may feel the weight of a swept 1 more, but all fraud is swept the same.

No.

I'm not going to tell you how the system works because that would defeat the purpose of having the system.

I'm not sure that these discussions on explicit ways of attempting to cheat are a good use of an author's time, or appropriate here at all. :rose:

I don't see the point of cheating. At all. And I have a hard time believing the group in question systematically games the voting. But I don't have proof one way or the other.

I did get caught up in the geeky aspects of it all, however. ;)

Is this the group you once posted that you were invited to join if you stopped being friendly to me? If so, that should give you a clue about its gaming technique.

PS I was never invited to join the group you have in mind. I was "told" why I wasn't invited to do so.

You and LC both, LOL! I keep bad company all around. Between a rock and a hard place, as it were... šŸ˜‰

But I wish I had a few authors to bounce ideas off of. I don't think there's anything wrong with their motives. And hell, everyone uses what they can to advertise themselves, no?

I tend to be more of a glass half full kinda girl - if that makes me naive, so be it...

Peace to all! :rose::kiss:

I think I saw a "yes, that's the group" in your response, which is all I need to know. (and all I'd think any third party here would have to know about this group of folks and their motives too.)

I was answering your question exactly, on reasons given to me. I don't belong, remember? So I have no clue what they do or don't do, or any other group of authors around here, what is planned strategy and what is simply friendly pats on the back. I have NO insight and no insider information. End of story.

I know authors who have been here a long time have large followings, and that includes LC, TTT, you, TxRad, and many others. Can anyone control their armies of well-wishers? When I get my own, I'll get an answer to that question. Until then (when hell freezes over, that is) I'll just keep writing and enjoying the company I DO keep.

I believe anarchy and chaos are far more likely than organized voting blocks. But again, I have no real data either way.

I get it. You don't want them going after you too. That pretty much speaks for itself concerning that group and its methods too.
