Because subdued_passion is awesome

:)

watching 70's tv programmes now is also something of a culture-shock

No kidding. Not just the content, but the pacing.

I got a lot of stuff on Netflix for my daughter and I to watch and after a while I just had to say "Uh...hey, well...not as funny as I thought and wow, boring."

It was all I had at the time.

I

Am.

Not.

Drown.

Yeah i figured. Eyer's style of writing (with all those ellipses) is far closer than your own *coughs* verbose style.

There was this one thread of his (hers?) that was really fun to read called Flame the Fuck On (or something like that).

Okay. You have fun here. I've got stuff to read and places to be. I'll catch you another time.

:)

And a good day to you butters and query.

makes me wonder how, in 30 odd years' time, we'll feel about the stuff out there now

My attitudes have changed a lot over the years. I think arguing on Lit has helped a lot and also getting out and finding people with very different viewpoints and listening to what they had to say.

I think the world's gonna get better and there's a lot of stuff we can do without right about now.

"Mommy, people used to think gay people shouldn't have a family?"

For a second I misread and thought you said 'I'm drown'.

I think not knowing is even better. But I can understand your reason. It's fun to make people uncomfortable with info you're not supposed to be privy to.

I agree that not knowing is healthier. I've been using ignore to good effect lately.

I have a huuuuuge ignore list.

I used to occasionally just take everyone off ignore and start over as some sort of amnesty thing, but now I just keep it as is and let games theory determine whether or not I'm going to click see post.

Every generation has its own causes and cures, but things remain the same over time.

My daughter recently caught my grandson boinking his girlfriend, she and her husband went nuts. And then I reminded them that my daughter was pregnant and unwed when my grandson came along. They were all prepped to show their asses with the girls parents. She's not a bad girl. And I'm delighted my grandson is lost to the faggots.

That's poetic, man.

Except for the faggots part.
