Three Things You Don't Know About Me...Rebooted...Again!!

I wanted to be a grandmother when I was a youngun. Grammy was my idol.
I wish I had followed my dream of being an oceanographer.
Now, all I want to be is a better person.

my three best stress-relievers are sex, talking, and crying.

everybody approves of the sex thing, most people understand a woman's need to talk, but crying typically makes people uncomfortable.

two people on Lit have actually heard me cry.

I don't stress much but, running, lifting weights and fishing on the lake mine.

I cried during the first 3 miles of my first ever half-marathon.

I cried walking back to my hotel room after running my first ever full marathon.

The sense of accomplishment got the best of me. I only started running about 7 years ago. It was only to lose weight. I never imagined I would be running races. A lot of training goes into it.

What is this sex thing everyone keeps talking about?

I hear about it but can't seem to remember what it is..

I might have to either have someone teach me or google it... ;)

I once aspired to be a nurse because I was always helping others and liked the idea of taking care of people, but thought I'd make a better teacher.
Glad I chose this route as it is definitely suited for me as it is my true calling and passion.

I am really good at sleeping, eating, forgetting to text/reply back, and pushing people close to me away. Especially the last one. It could be my job.

I still listen to the Spice Girls and Backstreet Boys from time to time.

I realized what my "calling" was about my junior year in college, I've been very happy in my career ever since.

I'm glad I didn't let a few comments about "low salaries" lead me astray, the salaries (even at the time), were fine (no one was getting rich, but all were good), and they have taken off since.

I try to help young people that I know see how to follow their interests. While you do have to be careful (the idea of "do what you love" only works sometimes), but overall finding your "nitch" is important.

I had a widely varied work background before finding my field at age 33. I believe that experiencing different thing first led me to finding satisfaction from my career.

I too started at a "low salary" job. But they offered educational benefits which paid for a degree earned at night.

Now I enjoy working with my kids as they enter the workforce. Offering them advice and guidance. Plus, they are old enough now that they actually are starting to listen to me - which is an added bonus.

How old are they???? (LOL...my kids don't listen to me!)

I am in the middle of a period at work where I do a lot of presentations.

My biggest problem with presentations is not doing them, or even preparing for them, but scheduling and remembering to actually go.

I got a hug from a really beautiful woman at the last one. :D

I have only had a job (in my entire life) less than 5 years. (and that includes summer jobs)

Every time I was pregnant, I wanted a girl. I never got one.

The first thing I ever drove was a tractor.

I have worked for this job for 25 years almost

I have worked second job (current one) for 20 years

I am glad we are having a heat wave since I have to be outside all weekend

I'm on my fourth (and last) career. This is the most rewarding by far.

I do a ton of volunteer work and give away a lot of money that I probably shouldn't.

I have very little free time anymore but love jigsaw puzzles and embroidery.

Started out helping my step dad doing drywall on bigger houses when he needed help.

Then I went to culinary school and joined a band so chef and musician..

Then a car accident screwed that up and now I am a weather forecaster and photographer. So I have ran the career gamut over my life so far...

I've worked in the same job field, but at different places for over half my life.

I dreamed of being a movie director as a kid and still think it would be fun to do.

I'd also liked to be a (paid) writer, but haven't published any of the books I've written yet.

I'm even more arrogant than most people suspect.

I like mango.

I am supposed to be watching rugby but somebody keeps distracting me...

I don't know why I like arrogant men. I mean, I'm a sweetheart.

I like all sorts of tropical, juicy fruit. Everyone should, in my humble opinion.

I should be cooking, but I like somebody's attention more.

1. I don't like cheese.

2. I once broke into a home, left them my car keys and broke back in to get the keys. Someone was in the shower the whole time.

3. I cut my own hair.

Three things you don't know about me...

1. I only sleep about three hours in every 24 hour period...

2. I sometimes worry when "research" shows that the average person needs 8 hours of sleep a night to be healthy, to keep from aging, to be mentally sharp...

3. Women... fascinate me.

I can build a kickass campfire, put up a tent in a flash, and catch, clean & cook fish. <thanks Daddy!>

I've backpacked RMNP many times, Smokey Mountains a couple of times, and am thinking about a trip to the Adirondack's next.

I once went on a two week horseback trip in the Gila Wilderness. My butt was sore for a month after.

I love oxtail soup.

I tried to make a mango milkshake yesterday - it didn't work.

I made a Harvard cocktail which was more successful.

I love black licorice

I mark all my flash drives so that I can always put them in the right way the first time

I sometimes sit on an exercise ball in front of my computer instead of a chair, because I like to bounce and roll around.

I never kissed a girl until I was 19 (shy kid)

The only one in my family without a degree.

I lived in a tent trailer for a period of time.

I kissed a lot of girls when I was little but took an extended kissing break until I was 17.
I have never eaten a Pop Tart, Toaster Strudel, etc.

Under most circumstances, I don't like people in my personal space yet I love to cuddle.
