Walking Dead RP OOC (for Halloween)

Ok that sounds good to me as well.

Again didn't want to sound harsh just typing and thinking I guess.

Sorry everyone...had some RL issues with my daughter's health which prevented me from posting. Will try to catch up tonight after I get off work.

I hope your daughter is well again! If not, my best wishes for a speedy recovery.

She's Type 1 diabetic, so whenever she gets sick, no matter how minor, her blood sugars go crazy and it can become a bigger issue. Just been dealing with a lot of high and low blood sugars over the past few days, and have really had to be on topof it and keep a close eye on it. She's stabilizing now, so she should be OK.

I'll go ahead and post as if Nick climbed aboard the MRAP. Can't leave him behind to walk on his own.

glad she's better. Sucks when kids get sick like that. My son when he was 4 spent the night before thanksgiving in the ER with a head cold, chest cold, asthma attack and allergic reaction all at once. Scariest night of my life.

Hey Scotty, I'm not sure how many group threads you've been in or done...but I need to ask you to slow down just a little on things. And try to tone down on the god modding a little, like saying the characters are gathered around the campfire already eating.

The starting of the zombie burn pile was fine, saying your character awoke at daybreak suggested to me he woke up the next day. We've barely gotten the gas station cleaned out, let alone a camp setup. Try not to be so impatient pushing the plot along. I don't think anyone is in a rush with the story.

Sea, Jade, he edited his post.

I noticed it too, and PMed him about it. As I gather it is the first group-RP Scotty is in, so ...

*grins* I told Scotty it would stop him posting for maybe a week if he kept to the jump.

We all had to learn some point. I did the same thing once upon a time, and got called on it. No worries...

Got the hint loud and clear. I'm asleep till morning. Won't post till then and I mean in story not.in real life. Sorry for time warps. And yes my first group role play. I'lldo my best to stay in plot and such. Not wanting to piss in people's corn flakes. Guess not used to it. Lesson learned , moving on.

I know I'm not the one in charge, but I'm thinking that having more than six in the thread is a little much. But that'll be Wlyd's call.

In my experience most of these multiplayer threads lose people fairly quickly. They lose interest or just stop posting. Whoever joins joins whoever stops stops. Kinda like how life is. Never know when someone will show up or leave.

A medical versed character certainly would be nice to have around.

Wyld, would it be a possible to link all character descriptions into the first post of the OOC? That way all writers, old or new, are able to check on skills, appearance and the rest quickly if they feel the need to do so.

more more

I know I'm.not a veteran writer but I say the more the better. I know we aren't going by the series per say but they started off with a large group. Just my opinion. Like Nikki said people come and go. Plus a medic is always a life saver in my book.

Well, then I am game if you are. Let's play!

There is already a link to our OOC here on the first page of the IC...when I made my first post, I actually put a note advising that anyone interested in joining should check the OOC out before posting to the IC...but I will also edit it to include having them check out the current characters to see where they'd fit in with the character they would like to provide.

Per the wikipedia link above they average around 1200 calories a day. According to the nutritional info from the one I have left from my sons scout backpacking trip last month it has 1225 calories total if you eat and drink everything in it.

If y'all wouldn't mind having another around I'd like to join in.

Character Bio: Aaron Hawkins

Appearance: Aaron is in his early twenties. 6'2", 175 lbs, muscular but with a little bit of paunch leftover from losing a bit of extra weight gained while at college. Aaron wears a pair of reading glasses, having his prescription glasses safely tucked away to keep them from being broken. He has short brown hair which he has been doing his best to keep cut short, which shows since his hair is uneven in spots. He has some warm clothes, and a few supplies. (From what I saw in the thread it seemed the motel wasn't staked out as well as the gas station, so I intend to have had my character holed up in there when you guys rolled in.)

Before everything went to hell Aaron wasn't the most social of people, keeping to his studies and gaming, though he had a few friends with similar interests. Aaron is a bit of a techie, and was beginning to study engineering and computer sciences before the outbreak. He will have some technical skill as well as some tools to work with. When the outbreak began he booked it out of the college town, expecting that any outbreak there would only make the situation nasty. He's been home, and left, heading north as he figured the cold winter would slow the walker population down and maybe make things a bit safer. Before the winter set in bad he made his shelter in an abandoned motel on the edge of a small town, gathering what supplies he could from the surrounding area before boarding up a room on the second floor of the motel to try to keep himself safe from the undead as well as the living. While spring has come on he hadn't gone so far as to get mobile yet, tho he was keeping a watchful eye for when a possible bad time might be had.

*edited name due to possible confusion of characters*

Sorry for the long gap between posts...tried to make up for it by giving a bit more insight into Nick's inner workings on this last post. Thought it turned out pretty well...hope ya'll like it.
