The Rolling Stones - Bob Dylan EN VIVO

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-uDpi0MYR8

Princess on the steeple and all the pretty people
They’re drinkin’, thinkin’ that they got it made
Exchanging all kinds of precious gifts and things
But you’d better lift your diamond ring, you’d better pawn it babe
You used to be so amused
At Napoleon in rags and the language that he used
Go to him now, he calls you, you can’t refuse
When you got nothing, you got nothing to lose
You’re invisible now, you got no secrets to conceal

How does it feel
How does it feel
To be on your own
With no direction home
Like a complete unknown
Like a rolling stone?

I will say that the songs make a good sound track. I was watching a travel program about Venice, and the first song accompanied Venice
at street level. Interspersed with antique prints of people from another age and time, sipping at their espresso, forever caught in a pose.
The illustration of discordance was a Starbucks, installed in a antique shop. The second song, was paired with Venice from the air, showing
the tops of the buildings and domes. The interiors of the domes. The film switched to men hauling at the oars of the gondolas, the powerful
cigarette boats, the canals and bridges. The atmospheric section was paired with historic black and white film. Vintage film of some people
from Turkey, in antique clothing, entertaining with dance and acrobatics. The sirens, were playing over the markets and the mosquito was
turned away, by the many varieties of colorful citrus, in the fruit stalls.

*listens and reads*

She went down last October in the pouring, driving rain.
The skipper he’d been drinking and the mate he felt no pain.
Too close to Three Mile Rock and she was dealt her mortal blow
And the Marry Ellen Carter sitting low.

There was just us five aboard her when she finally was a-wash.
We worked like hell to save her all heedless of the cost.
And the groan she gave as she went down, it caused us to proclaim
That the Mary Ellen Carter’d rise again.

Well, the owners wrote her off, not a nickel would they spend.
"She gave twenty years of service, boys, and met her sorry end.
But insurance paid the loss to us, so let her rest below,"
They laughed at us and said we’d have to go.

But we talked of her all winter, some days around the clock,
She’s worth a quarter million, a-floating at the dock.
And with every jar that hit the bar we swore we would remain
And watch the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.

Chorus:
Rise again, rise again,
Let her name not be lost to the knowledge of men
For those who loved her best and were with her to the end,
We’ll make the Mary Ellen Cater, rise again.

All spring, now, we’ve been with her on a barge lent by a friend.
Three dives a day in a hard hat suit and twice I’ve had the bends.
Thank God it’s only sixty feet and the currents here are slow
Or I’d never have the strength to go below.

But we’ve patched her rents, and stopped her vents,
dogged hatch and porthole down
Put cables to her fore and aft and girded her around;
And tomorrow, noon, we hit the air and then take up the strain
And watch the Mary Ellen Carter rise again.

Chorus

For we couldn’t leave her there, you see, to crumble into scale.
She’d saved our lives so many times, living through the gale;
And the laughing, drunken rats who left her to a sorry grave,
They won’t be laughing in another day.

And you, to whom adversity has dealt that final blow,
With smiling bastards lying to you everywhere you go
Turn to and put out all your strength of arm and heart and brain
And like the Mary Ellen Carter, rise again!

Last Chorus 2x
Rise again, rise again,
Thou your heart, it be broken, your life about to end,
No matter what you’ve lost, be it a home, a love, a friend,
Be like the Mary Ellen Carter:
RISE AGAIN!

Yeesh! You can post a youtube video, yanno. (I would post an "avery," but I would be overstepping my bounds, as a noob.)

My friends and I we've cracked the code
We count our dollars on the train to the party
and everyone who knows us knows that we're fine with this
We didn't come for money

But every song's like gold teeth, grey goose, trippin' in the bathroom
Blood stains, ball gowns, trashin' the hotel room
We don't care, we're driving cadillacs in our dreams
But everybody's like cristal, maybach, diamonds on your timepiece
Jet planes, islands, tigers on a gold leash
We don't care, we aren't caught up in your love affair

And we'll never be royals
It don't run in our blood
That kind of lux just ain't for us
We crave a different kind of buzz
Let me be your ruler, you can call me Queen Bee
And baby I'll rule (I'll rule I'll rule I'll rule...)
Let me live that fantasy

I like the Downtown girls I like the way that they talk to me
I like the messed up girls They're pretty good company

I like the way that you walk And maybe tonight,
I can make you mine And if it's all right,
we can dance in the white light
In the white light

Thank you, Carson Daly
