A fledgling idea I'd like to expand upon with a well written fellow:
(Our late 20's/early 30's fellow) has always idolized his successful father. The man carries himself with a high confidence, holds a well-off position in his company, and always seems to command a room. A life of important meetings behind closed doors and business trips to high class hotels. A confession of his near jealousy of his father's life leads to an unexpected confession in return: "I've simply been waiting for you to tell me."
His father gives him a position in the company, complete with a private office, then inquires how much more his son wanted to be like him- that there was another family tradition that their family kept.
"A strong, confident man appreciates what another can do for him. He Carries himself well because he leads another. He presents his confidence because of the faith another gives him. And he keeps his control, because another survives upon it. I have taken the liberty of bringing you a secretary. You simply need to introduce yourself properly."
But his secretary is far more than just a girl at a desk... That's quickly picked up with how he meets her. His father reveals his dominant side in the conference room during the introductions between she and his son, presenting her to him as his new pet and the same instructions any father gives a child on a new pet: "She's your responsibility now."
Both he and his new "friend" learn quickly that the higher ups in this company have more than just business meetings, and that interesting things happen behind closed doors... And that this is all tradition.
