Chaser:
  • Humans who hunt down other humans, particularly runaways or Strays.
  • They generally fall into two categories: the extremely loyal, or the slightly psychotic, with some being a little bit of both.
Communication (between Masters and Humans):
  • Masters can not talk to their human servants any more than the humans can talk to their dogs or cats.
  • Communication is performed via non-word sounds, hand signals, gestures, whistles, horns, etc.

Seasons, the: The seasons are not at all fixed but vary between climate zones and even by dates within a single region. Calendars mean little to most humans; it's all about when to plant and harvest, when to hunt, when to breed.
  • Planting: Spring.
  • High Sun: Summer.
  • Harvest: Autumn.
  • Low Sun: Winter.
Strays:
  • Humans who have never belonged to a Master.
  • Not to be confused with "runaways", who are what the name would imply.

Truth, the:
  • "The Truth", simply put, it the eventual realization by the Humans that once upon a time, they were the dominant species upon the planet, not the pets and service animals of the Masters.
  • NOTE: This is not a subject to be posted about until the role play is well established. Do not create characters, story lines, or situations in which The Truth is even so much as hinted at; in the beginning, all human characters are living with the belief that the Masters have always been on Earth, that the Masters have always been in control, and that Humans have always been either the Masters' servants or strays, living outside of their dominance.

Village:
  • The living area of most humans. Depending on the community, it can be one building with a handful of humans or dozens of buildings occupied by hundreds of them.
  • While in the early days of the Masters' supremacy the Villages were almost as secure as the prisons of long ago, the loyalty of humans to their Masters make fences and gates unnecessary in most cases.
