Hello clever people, I think I've resized my photo so it's less than 150x150 but now it's saying the file size is too big - is there anything I can do about it?

Change the compression ratio or "quality" setting in your image editor. I use Irfanview and have the JPeG quality set at 80%. That seems to be more than adequate for creating avatars.

From online you just click the little yellow, square icon with the mountains. A separate window will come up and you just enter the URL.

From your PC, just click the manage attachment thing at the bottom of your post.

When you're writing a post, the box around your words has a header with icons in it. The icon 5th from the right that looks like a yellow envelope with a stamp

. This is the icon that will allow you to attach an image address or any image posted online.

Find an image online, we'll used this yellow smilie :) as the example. Mouse over the image and right click it. The menu that comes up will give you the option to "copy image location" this is the address of the image, copy it, click the image icon, and past it in the box that pops up, then click "ok". and you've inserted the image into your response.

If you want to upload an image, it first must meet the size restrictions of the site, you'll have to figure that one out for yourself. Below the box where you type the words you want to post you'll find a section that says "Manage Attachments". When you click this, it brings up the folders on your computer. Simply find the image and double click it, then hit submit. You can do this multiple times if you have more than one image you want to include in a single post.

That's about as detailed a description as you're going to get on how to attach an image to your posts. Now it's up to you to play with these instructions and figure it out.
