Its partly an aesthetic choice, plus I wouldn't gain anything from the extra dex allowance. I'm happy with it being slightly less than optimal.

Ah, my bad, my brain is used to fluff and crunch being separate, and fair call on the armour, coolness is worth 10 times its weight in efficiency.
 
Added a first draft of some equipment - some of it is estimated, eg figured he should pay more for bedding and tent, and wanted a holy symbol that was more durable than wood without beign silver, so paid 5 crowns for it to be pewter

I should probably add some holy water in belt pouches.

Also, I had planned to give all characters a boon in the form of a cool accessory, I was going to hand them out just before we started the thread, but since it seems this may be the starting lineup anyway, I'm just going to give them out when you say your character is done.

A favorite tool of seducers the world over, the small pendant that hangs from the long silver chain has a wondrous power to enrapture the lesser minds, allowing the user to slip any insidious suggestion in to their minds.

Effect one target of equal or lesser HD as per the hypnotism spell (caster level 1), 1/day.

Rhino specificaly? Thats a no, from a mechanical standpoint you're not a high enough level to have one as a mount at this point, and by the time you are you'll be in an ecology that doesnt have rhinos.

Looking at the party we are quite well equipped with stand-up muscle so a druid that concentrates on magical firepower might well be a good addition to the party.

However - 1st rule really is "play what sounds fun, and let the DM sort out the balance"

Since we don't actually have a DM as such, that goes double. ;)

I think I'll try Elven Druid :D Think it's a bit different to the other suggestions. As far as I can tell we've got 2 Barbs? 1 Paladin, 1 fighter/crusader and 1 Bard?

Are you sure you want to leave it at that? You still have a lance (useless without a mount) and 1341 gold unspent, you can do a lot with dosh like that.

Yes, yes we are, and as Led Astray demonstrated, we would all be happy to help with anything you need. As for playing an elven druid, that would work great, we have neither an elf nor a druid.

Unmounted lances are still reach weapons, just not double damage charging or 1-handable.

He's wearing heavy armour, so I doubt he'll be doing any impressive acrobatics, plate is like, -6 or something like that.

The main druid split is the form you pick for Nature's Bond. Either:

A) You take an extra spell domain which brings you into caster power parity with clerics.

B) You take the animal companion, which has a little more RP potential and helps out a lot in the beginning levels (like our L4 game)

There isn't a "right" choice here. Pick whichever you think would suit you better, then we can start hammering out a character sheet.

I'm still considering bringing a second character in, if need be. Since the tally for women is up to 2 now we might not, but I'll fiddle with something regardless just in case.

Huh, I am very glad I'm not on my phone right now, I think it would have shat itself if it tried to display that picture and keep the website in scale.


In more relevant issues, I'm writing the first post for the thread now, the ships wont be touching down untill we have character sheets for Lexs character and HKGs alt, if she chooses to have one, but the characters should be able to mingle a bit until then.

Also, the male characters are all martial bruisers, while all the female ones are currently more spell casting focused, interesting, pointless information through and through, but interesting none the less.
 
Hey now. My bard is very melee focus with her whirling scimitar O death. She does decent amounts of damage with a one handed weapon and no str. Her to hit is too cool for skool. :cool:

Though we do seem to lack some artillery. Maybe a sorcerer...though I made someone off of Cha, don't want to be so one sided. A wizard is too much to remember and a witch is bleh...

I could make a Summoner and have a tentacle rape monster. Oh the possibilities....

A pet tentacle rape monster... I'm not sure how to respond to this, its like Pokemon for a whole different age bracket.
