Pretty typical bullshit from the peanut gallery. Assuming an awful lot there aren't ya Sparky?
The fact is that while there maybe moderate Muslims, there is no such thing as moderate Islam. It doesn't exist.

FYP, asshole.
Anything to avoid a little self-reflection...

And you keep proving you're the most irrational, ignorant, fearful fuckup of them all. Really though, living in fear must really be awful.
Why don't you try reading the Qu'ran, the Hadiths, and the Sunnahs? After you've digested all of that, get back to me.
As far as 'irrational' is concerned and speaking only for myself, I find it irrational not to be concerned about a religion whose avowed purpose is world domination and extermination of all those that don't care to subscribe to their particular brand of worship. Therefore I find your lack of concern irrational.
Ishmael
Oh so it's not that you shouldn't be fearful, the problem is that I don't live my life in fear like Lit's conservative nutsacks?
God commands the Jews to stone to death anyone who tries to convert them. The Old Testament specifically says that there shall be no pity or mercy for this and the person must be killed without exception. So will you also stand up and proclaim that you fear Jews and that there is no such thing as moderate Judaism?
There ya go again, assumin' shit that you have absolutely no knowledge of at all. The word used was 'concern', not fear, and certainly not irrational fear. All of those superlatives you're just conjuring up in your inner state of blissful dementia. And you wonder why you're laughed at.
Ishmael
I know full well you used the word concern. And in no way is it an accurate term for you.
Why don't you remind everyone of your position on Sharia Law wrecking the very fabric of American society? Were you just "concerned" about that? The term is laughably inaccurate.
You're a fearful person, Ish. I assume nothing because there's not even any room for assuming. It's plain as day - all anyone has to do is read your posts. I understand that you'd like to use this space to retreat to a more mild position that sounds less bat-shit Glenn Beck crazy but it's far too late for that.
When's the last time you saw the Israeli government stone somebody?
You're talking to Colonel Fubar.
He recites data learned by rote during his North Korean style liberal brainwashing.
In the Muslim community, the holy war is a religious duty, because of* the universalism of* the [Muslim] mission and [the obligation to] convert everybody to Islam either by persuasion or by force... The other religious groups did not have a universal mission, and the holy war was not a religious duty for them, save only for purposes of defense... Islam is under obligation to gain power over other nations.

People who are naturally fearful, easily frightened, and terrified of those who are different are almost always conservatives.
Let us remind ourselves that Ibn Khaldun, a great pre-modern historian, and a man whose opinions are in no way bidning on anyone, was writing in the 15th century.
For those who comment here that there is no such thing as moderate Islam, here's Wikipedia's rather simplified outline of the different Muslim interpretations of 'jihad'.

I live among moderate Muslims. We have much to learn from each other.

Israel Security Council: Obama Naive on Muslim Brotherhood
The Muslim Brotherhood plans to cut off Israel, The Hindu says Obama wants them to talk to Taliban, Israeli officials call Obama naïve.

Israel’s National Security Council thinks that President Barack Obama is naïve in his attitude towards the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, which stated Sunday it can’t fathom the idea of recognizing Israel.
Dr. Rashad Bayumi, the Brotherhood’s number two leader, said on Sunday, "No Muslim Brotherhood members will engage in any contact or normalization with Israel.”
President Obama has asked the Muslim Brotherhood’s leading jurist, Yusuf al-Qaradawi, to mediate secret talks between the United States and the Taliban, according to The Hindu newspaper. The jurist previously has called for killing U.S. soldiers in Iraq and has vowed that Islam “will conquer Europe [and] will conquer America,” whether by force or by the spread of radical Islam.
Preferable to the role of Neville Chamberlain's willingness to plunge a continent and eventually a world into a destructive war in order to maintain the Left's thin veneer of erudite superiority in nuance, subtlety, and omniscient understanding of the minds of those so very different from themselves.

Neville Chamberlain was of the right, not the left.
One wonders what that has to do with Minnesota in 1812...
At a time between the wars, when almost all of Europe had embraced Socialism, all you're doing is placing him in the same spectrum as Hitler thus highlighting one of the absurdities of Socialist thought, that Socialist nations ensure world peace better then competitive Capitalism.
