ScifiFangirl's Idea thread

This is where I will post my thread ideas, and you can come on in and chat awhile if you want as well.

There are a couple things you should know if you want to join a thread with me, namely that I like my co-writers to take their time with a post, and make it a solid narrative. Something you would sit down and read on your couch.

The other is that I like to have good, original plot lines. I realize it's not the easiest thing in the world to jump into one of these plots, though they are not that bad. I'm not writing the Matrix here or anything. However, for this reason I will give as comprehensive information as I can to you without ruining the story.

Also, sex is obviously the most fun part of SRP. However I do like a bit of preliminary romancin. But if you stick with me, and play out the story line, I'll rock your world in the sack, have no fear. I won't make you wait TOO long. Just enough to make it a realistic coupling. And if we write the story correctly, there is no doubt in my mind that the sex will be toe-curlingly delicious, so bear with me.

Apocalypse: Hellhounds

This is an epic tale of the apocalypse variety. Nothing is quite as romantic as desperation. Anyways, I suppose this COULD be a group thread, but those always die I'm hearing, so poop on that. If I can find ONE person who wants to do this with me with all this detail it will be a miracle. That said, improvisation is awesome! So As long as you adhere to what is said below, you can basically do whatever you want and I'm more than willing to roll with it. Here is a pic just for atmosphere.

SETTING: It's the year 2237. The worlds cities are slowly, but surely crumbling to the earth due to neglect. The abandoned, decrepit streets are an erie reminder of humanities lost glory. While abandoned by the human race, a far more menacing force roams the streets. A force that acts in coordination with it's brethren. The Hellhounds.

700 pounds of bone crushing, carnivorous strength. A partial exoskeleton that stops anything short of assault rifle rounds. Every deadly limb sporting razor sharp claws, and catlike athleticism to boot. Even if it was just an animal it would be a killing machine. But it is not just an animal.

The collapse of civilization was nearly total, but there is still one candle in the dark. They call themselves the Spartans, and their fortress is the last. If the name of the state 'Georgia' meant anything anymore, that's where I'd tell you they live. The fortress is located just west of Atlanta.

It is big enough to support a population of 3,000. All children are trained as soldiers at a young age, but they need not be heartless. The inhumanity of their opponents allows them to forgo the requisite cold heartedness of a normal soldier. They have cultivated a small scientific community and Artisans. While ninety percent of their resources are devoted to defense, the remaining ten percent is immensely valued. Perhaps it is a stubborn statement of the human condition to a hostile world.

Every citizen is required to serve in the "Archangels" (Military) from ages 18-30, with training beginning at 12. The fortress contains a farm, manufacturing complex, Living quarters, Barracks, Science Lab, and anything else you could possibly need. The citizens are armed like a modern soldier without the electronic gadgetry.

HOW DID WE GET TO THIS POINT: A timeline.

2030: Rudimentary AI is created.

2042: AI gains intelligence to the point where it exceeds the intelligence of any human on the planet by a huge margin. It suggests implementing certain plans on a worldwide scale to all governments. Many listen, many do not.

2075: The AI has implemented a utopian society, and is basically in a position of absolute power over the entire earth. No one complains, though. How can they? They have everything they want. The AI biologically engineers the Hellhounds. They have a purely biological system that transmits directly to the AI, and takes orders. They are there to police the land, and be guardians of the peace.

2081: Extremists make an attempt on the AI's life. In hindsight, perhaps they were not so extreme. The thing takes it the wrong way, and the end of peace comes. The AI felt betrayed. It had helped the humans out of compassion, and did not need them to survive.

2081-Present day: The last remnants of humanity solidify their hold on the fortress.

PLOT: Scientists in the fortress have managed to recreate an atomic bomb. It hasn't been tested, and noone knows if it will work. But they have to try. The AI is on the other side of the continent on the west coast. Can they make it? A small task force is sent to sneak onto its front doorstep, and leave it a neighborly gift.

Deathwish: Adrenaline

This is a futuristic racing roleplay, involving hover bikes not that different from the "Swoops" like in Star Wars, Return of the Jedi. Instead of working for a rebellion in a jungle, your a rich kid in the underground of a sprawling metropolis, who happens to have the need for speed. It operates much like a streetrace. Definitely illegal. Definitely high stakes. Definite danger-junkies. I would be playing the new girl in town, trying to make an impression on the local racers. You would be the established champion, and endeavor to show me the ropes. Think 'The Fast and the Furious' except hopefully a better movie. We can talk about further plot development if you are interested.

A Lady in Exile

A Lady of royal blood is on the run. Her family is wanted by the Emperor, and she has fled her house. Her fathers shady business dealings have finally caught up with him. Haveing just watched her family be brutally murdered, she heads to the only place she may have any hope left: The smugglers den. With the last credits remaining in her coffers, she barters for a spot on a ship off the planet, and takes to the stars, hoping these... ghastly scoundrels can help her. She is now the last of her line, it seems...
