Is Obama Just a Moron?

How many recall the eight years of George W. Bush’s two terms in office during which he was constantly derided as being too dumb to be president? He was deemed “a frat boy” and yet Bush had graduated from Yale University and went onto to secure a master’s degree from Harvard Business School. When his grades were compared to Sen. John Kerry during his campaign for reelection, it turned out he had higher scores.

We can’t compare Barack Obama’s grades to Bush or anyone else because they, along with his birth certificate, and indicators of his scholastic achievements have been hidden from public review.

This is not, however, a defense of Bush. This is about a question that millions of Americans are beginning to ask. Is Obama just a moron?

So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can't think of anything? Don't worry. He's done all this in 21 months -- so you'll have two years and two months to come up with an answer.

"His acolytes" are, with the exception of the usual small core of hardcore fans that any leader have (Bush included), a figment of right wing imagination.

Either that or a deliberate rethoric to belittle anyone who even generally supports him, even cautiously, or thinks the option would have been worse.

I think that "small core of hardcore fans" includes literally millions of people, including more than 90% of black Americans, mind you, who seem unwilling to abandon Obama no matter what. I don't think calling them acolytes is unwarranted. Many of them are friends and family, so I don't mean to belittle them by use of the term. I simply think they're besotted.

One look at Obama's resume was enough to tell me he was totally unqualified for this or any other executive position. He's meeting my expectations.

He's a naïve ideologue, who despite reality staring him in his face, is convinced that brilliant people, such as himself, a truly educated, erudite, articulate man, can use government to order our lives and create a just, fair, and egalitarian Utopia.

In our President's mind, gifted men of high character can solve the problems created by capitalist industry.

Yeah ok, "small" is realtive. Some 15 to 25% of the voters. About the same as the neocon base that stuck with Bush when nobody else did in the end.

There are acolytes on both sides of the political spectrum, of course.

It seems that all of you did not vote for Obama. Of course you would know why people did vote for him.

Only you would know exactly what he is rather than what you think he is. You think he is moron.

You don't get to be POTUS by being a moron. Moron is one of those terms that once had an actual meaning and then became nothing more than an insult and remains in common usage as an insult.

When the classifications for intellectual disabilities used those type of terms a moron had an IQ of 51-70, imbecile IQ of 26-50 and idiot IQ of 0-25. So, I don't think he's a moron. In fact, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard Law School. To be accepted his IQ would have had to be higher than moron status.

He would not have had the family backing to get in to Harvard, but he would have had the advantage of minority status, even though his heritage is as much European as African.

What I find most interesting about him is that he has tried to allow some bi-partisanship and accepts a moderate outcome which alienates his supporters and he can't win any of you over no matter what he does because most of you won't accept anything but your own extremes.

So continue to name call, pat yourselves on the back and understand that you are still choosing to live in the US just as I have been since the Reagan era.

Oh, and I'm not black, I'm not family nor friend, he is not meeting my personal political goals but I still prefer him to anyone else out there. We have a mess in our country on so many levels and it didn't start in the past 2 years.

Yeah, we need voices like yours.

The mess in ASmerica is about to get much worse with the foreclosure meltdown and we're outta money. My local school district is short $47 Million, and state law limits school tax hikes to 1/4 mil per year. So they'll get maybe $6 Million of what they need. But they just built a $45 Million dollar high school with stadium and pool and multimedia building plus all the rest of the bells and whistles. The coming debacle is icing on the out of control government cake.

You all seem to enjoy a circle jerk more than you enjoy a discussion, so why should I waste my time? From what I've been able to glean on my infrequent forays into these threads is that you all seem to enjoy name calling and denigration rather than actually having a well thought out opinion other than "no" or name calling and butt and emotional information.

I've been putting my energy into actually working on change rather than discussing it with a small group of people for whom I have no intellectual respect.

I usually don't read your posts, but I do read some. I'd have to agree with what you posted above. There is a double standard. Obama is thought to be super smart because he delivers great speeches, but he is plain ordinary without a teleprompter.

I remember John Kerry, and how smart he and the media thought he was. His college transcript went public, his grades were worse than Bush 43's grades.

Perception is reality I am afraid.

I do not think Obama is a moron. Inexperienced? Yes! Exhibitor of bad judgement? Yes!

Obama is a puppet. An empty suit.

I too have become much less a frequent poster on this board, ksmy, partly for personal reasons, but due too to the reasons you give in this and your next post. Obama was being blamed on this forum (and in rabid blogs all over the net) for everything from the wars going badly to the slump in the economy before he even became president. People were predicting horrible things that would happen when he took over, that were already commonplace. The whole heathcare "debate" is nauseatingly full of that.

There's a great divide in this country, and the extremists on both sides are merrily driving ever larger wedges into the gap simply to strengthen their own political bases, without a care for the long term damage being done.
