Insomnia Sucks

This is from an email i got yesterday and it really struck me...

I've been thinking about something lately and hoping I can come to fully embrace it as i think it will make all the difference...

We are each responsible for our own happy. If we look to others to make us happy we will be continually be disappointed. It's not that we can't have happy times with others, we certainly can. As giving of a person as I am, nothing I do can MAKE anyone else happy... and so I cannot expect that from anyone else either. It's simply to much to ask of another person, to make them responsible for my happy. A friend once said to me, "it's not my responsibility to make you laugh." At the time it rather pissed me off, i thought him a bit hurtful, callous at the remark. However, he's one of the kindest, gentlest people I've met so I gave it a lot of thought, to try and figure out what he was getting at. After much pondering, I think he meant he wasn't responsible for my happy and he is indeed right... he does make me laugh greatly, but it is not his responsibility.

I suspect I am a lurker Nice wet panties by the way.

Hope you are well this morning. Been reading your posts today and here is my *take* on life journey.

Change the things you can, when forget the things you can't. Live life to the fullest .. smile and be happy. For it is you that must make the choices. My choice is to be happy .. to live... to have lovers and friends .. to be there to support each other and to love.

And if you have the good friends and lovers.. they will return the love and support.. when you need it and will tell you when you are being a butthead.
