Name: Michelle Sinclaire
Age: 25
Height: 5'7
Profession: Nurse

Bio: Michelle has recently finished the game Psyren. Her last trip to the cursed place was also Elaine's first trip into Psyren. Despite surviving the game, she knows relatively little about the existence of W.I.S.E.. Her priorities when entering the strange world was to get out as fast and safe as possible and made a point to give danger a wide berth at all times.

Michelle works in the hospital not because she needs to. After obtaining her psi ability, she has allowed a small selection of people to know her ability of Cure and charges exorbitant prices for her 'prayers'. She however remains within the hospital and extends a small amount to those who require it. Using it as a way to exercise and practice her psi even when she no longer 'needs' it in Psyren.

Psi Ability: Cure. This is a mix between heavy Rise and a manifestation through burst. After honing this ability, she can regenerate a person's lost limb if the wound is fresh, of course such a thing would take time, but it is possible for her.

Because this ability requires a substantial focus in Rise, she is on par in a fight with most rise users.

Weakness:
She cannot invoke Cure upon her own wounds, however because of her specialization in Rise, she does recover faster, but her regeneration abilities will never be as good as what she can do with Cure.

Name: Ashley Morrison
Age: 24
Occupation: Game Designer/ Student

Bio: Ash is rarely known as the shy one. She tends to speak before her mind has a chance to censor her words, often leading to trouble from those around her. It most likely stems from being raised by only her father, a man with a brash attitude when it came to parenting. Though she may seem to be the spitting image of the bitter man she left behind in Ohio, she actually does worry about those around her- even if she doesn't say it.

Development:
She's still quite new to this future world, and rather sour about being unfamiliar with it. This in turn leads to the first inkling of her abilities... She explodes a squirrel while having a bitch fit.

Over time, as she learns to control her emotions, she can handle her powers and refine them, taking her random emotional outbursts into full blown powerful explosions.

Psi Ability: Emotion Bomb, via Burst. She also has Trance ability that allows her to communicate with others, but this is more a hinderance than gift; she has a slight empathic link that effects her Burst.

Weakness: Her link with others, as well as lack of control based on her emotions.

Let me know if this needs revamping, VT... wrote last night on phone.

Name : Alexander Montgomery
Age : 35
Occupation : Risk assessor for an International Insurance Company

Bio: Alexander would have been a gambler, and lived on his winnings if he hadn't come from a family so focused on business. His almost supernatural ability to assess odds of outcomes bordered on frightening to his very conservative parents. As he got older, he not just calculated the odds of events, but he started to see them unfold in his mind. He found himself using this ability more constructively as he got older, mostly to advance himself.

Since the ability took time to show him what was going to be, he decided to forgo entering the stock market, as it was too volatile, and went into Risk Assessment in the insurance industry. He soon made a name for himself as an accurate assessor, and soon was able to name his price when offered work.

Psi Power : Fate's Road. Alexander can view the future, either as a fast forward based around a person, place or thing; going from now, until the variances become so much that the vision is too blurred to make out. Or he can view the most likely of outcomes at some point in the future.

He also has other Trance like powers that he can use, but they are nowhere near the power of Fate's Road.

Weakness : It is very difficult to view his own future, because of his almost compulsive desire to make the most of the knowledge gleaned. Also, when viewing the future, he cannot do anything else but remain completely immobile with his eyes closed. He cannot be carried, driven, etc while in such a trance.

He is also subject to random visions. Short, no more than 3 seconds, views of the future. He had no control over what he sees, or the context of the visions.

You guys make me sooooo happy and excited!! Awesome first posts guys!

A brief reminder, powers will not awaken until you get 'sick' for a few hours first. This should occur after you leave psyren, however it can happen while in Psyren. Choose your poison as to what sort of 'sick' you'd prefer, but it should be one of those things that leave you bed ridden for the time being.

Okay Chance and Ash's card values should both be at 47. One point was taken when the questionaire was done, putting both at 49, and lets just say this round took 2 points.

This is Ellie's 3rd time to Psyren. I'll say 2 points for her first round, 4 points for the second, and 2 points for this one we just finished. Along with 1 point for the questionaire. This puts her at 41 points.

To check card value, try using the card in a payphone again, and it will report your card value. (this was not part of manga) It will also be explained in story.

Aight, I'm dead beat tired with a headache. If my post needs editing, let me know but I'm too tired to go read it again and check.

Lily, you're welcome to go stare at Michelle if you want, or you can be tucked away in a bed in one of the rooms, or you can write Ellie driving you home or whatever else you want. I tried to leave that one open ended.

okay, for those who are sticklers about details (like myself) we have locations for this round and the next few rounds. Many thanks to Litshark who lives in the area for the locations.

This is considered the 'present day' location of entrance and exits. Chances are the entrances won't make a big difference, especially since we're arriving in a ruined future, we probably won't find anything still standing. Expect ~2 weeks between rounds.

Round 1:
(the one we just got out of)
Entrance - Market St. crossing Mission St.
Exit - North Beach
Points used - 2
Notes - Bypassing the BAD parts of the city and allowing us a glimpse of the Golden Gate Bridge that we mentioned in thread.

Round 2:

Entrance - North Beach
Notes - about 1 miles off from the previous exit, also assume that the water has more or less dried up. So this trek will be done across the dried ocean floor.
Exit - Treasure Island
Points used - 3
Notes - Treasure island is like an industrial park in the middle of the Bay Bridge going East. Bay Bridge not Golden Gate

Round 3:

Entrance - Treasure Island
Exit - High st (in Oakland)
Points used - 6 (this is an all GRAY zone, prepare for some major butt-being-kicked this round)
Notes - Same as before, entrance will be a little ways away from the previous exit. The sea bed is dried, so it can be walked across and we will be exiting in the ghettos, middle of Oakland... one of those places you DON'T want to be lost in.

Round 4:
Entrance - Freemont Blvd, Freemont
Exit - San Carlos st. , San Jose.
Points used - TBA (um... haven't planned this far yet ... lol)
Notes - This is a big jump from the previous few cases. There aren't any real noticeable landmarks for Freemont, but there is a park nearby. The exit is in the nice part of San Jose, with the convention center and tech museum.

Does anyone have objections if I bump time up to when everyone is up and running around in my next post? I think players would all have some questions or another that need to be answered and once everyone, Ash, Chance, Mich, and Ellie are in the same room we can probably start answering them.

if anyone wants to do something in the mean time well let me know and I'll stop short of fast forwarding

If there are questions people would specifically like addressed, also let me know!

And... M13 and Lily... you two might need to have a talk since M13 will need to have a word with Kevin..... and Psyren's development.

Okay everyone in the present has a '2 week' break before the next Round. Next time I post, I'm probably going to make the second call unless someone interacts with my characters. Feel free to fast forward to figure out how you want to learn your psi abilities.

The next round will be occuring after Litshark and D finish up their playtime with Anna....

Ugh, apologies everyone for dragging my feet.

I will get a response up that will get Anna to her core in the morning.

Let the mayhem begin!!

mhuawhawha

Alright, ladies and gentlemen... Round 2 has officially begun!

Marauder13, you're up next to prep for our scene!

Psyren Drifters... if you have business to do in the present time, feel free to do so as a flash back before the call.

Villains and Villain-nesses... I thank you all for your patience for waiting for so long... I promise your thirst for bloodshed shall soon be at hand!

Okay, the scene is set for all players to arrive.

It's probably been 40 minutes between the first ring of the call and the actual commencement of the game. Anywhere from the building Ellie started in, to the streets, to a neighboring building is fair game for arrival.

The game will not begin (the payphone ringing for a player to pick up) until all players of that round have arrived in Psyren. Therefore all players will have received the transmission.

We aren't that far away from the previous exit, therefore if we travel to a place without buildings we should see the destroyed gate we saw last time. (Litshark, please correct me if I'm wrong)

Once everyone is in, I'll give the group an ... 'introduction' to the new and improved Anna /grins evilly

All players have arrived!!!

a note to mention... all player's psi are amplified a bit while in Psyren. It's not completely drastic but it's some. It should also be easier to activate your abilities. Because the atmosphere encourages the flow and control of psi.

For Rise dominant users, they'll feel the psi surge in their bodies. Hits will hit harder... etc

For Burst users they'll get a much bigger bang out of their ability....

Trance users better range, and higher chance of success.

A request to add Elaine into the fight... If possible, I'd like her to invoke Reflect on the last shot Anna fired. An incomplete version of it, and thereby making it hit off course as opposed to hitting Ash as Anna had intended it to.

Very well done people! You guys make me proud to be writing with ya'll!

(Btw a picture of Michelle is posted with her bio for anyone who wants to see what Mich looks like)

Okay I apologize that it took me so long. Somehow I thought I sent this to D already, but apparently I did it while my internet was being flaky, and my guess is it never went through. So before I lose it... would it be too late to add something like this in? -

Elaine felt slow. Her own dispersed psi giving her an awareness of everyone's actions, but also slowing her own down as she struggled to defend her partners... and failed. The smooth surge of psi was the blonde's signature as it flowed to fill the weapon she had in her hand, but what terrified Elaine more was the jagged edge that was Ashley's psi as it sparked dangerously about the blonde in the pure unstable form of Ashley's rage.... Such psi, under the best case would lash out against it's target. But things hardly ever worked out that way... her psi was liable to back lash upon the user or assault those around her...

Elaine's own abilities condensed into a shimmering wall, separating the blonde from Ashley. The vestiges of her senses recognized the full loading of the blonde's weapon... she'd not stop it in time..... Elaine knew the shield was not complete, even before the condensed psi bullet came hurtling at Ashley, barely slowed by the shield she'd enacted, but most importantly diverting it's trajectory as the ground between Ashley and Elaine burst into flames.

...
Please don't tell me this died.
It was just getting interesting-er.
(I know its not a word. But it's my non-word.)

I apologize. I'm getting to it. I've been working on a post for this thread.... but it's been painfully slow. Also, my hours have been drastically minimal so it's really hard in terms of collaborating with people I need to talk to. Which reminds me, I might have to work with you and CT on the next bit...

I wasn't trying to blame anyone, VT.
*Hugs*
I know you're getting your butt kicked with the job.

Just wondering where the rest of the crew was.
