I know you don't care much for the idea of reposts but scrolling through and seeing her displayed mid-thread was very sexy
I'm not sure why reposts are an issue. Since her pics are done as attachments through Lit, and not linked from files hosted elsewhere, they are only visible to people who are logged in. These are the same people who are able to see them anyway
Reposts are only visible to non-members if they are pics hosted on an external site
for example:

Wanton, I'm shocked you don't understand why she doesn't want reposts.....especially since Elaine is listed in your signature in "favs"......it is obvious that once someone "reposts" the pic is embedded forever in the thread........and on the chance that someone decides to stop posting and remove their thread, they should be able to do that and not have their pics still embedded......if requested, it is the least we can do to honour the request..
There is no doubt the pics could be saved by each viewer, but that is MUCH different than having them embedded forever.....

I realize I was still editing my previous post and testing my hypothesis while you were posting this and I understand from where you are coming. I DO NOT disagree with the fact that the thread owner's wishes should be honoured. However, I am just saying that reposts in no way change the ability of the owner to, at any time, delete the thread and/or the attachments IF they are done as attachments from within Lit itself (as Stef's are). As noted in my edited previous post, there is no difference in the appearance of a thread to a non-member (or anyone who is not logged in) with or without reposts, as long as the pics are done through Lit attachments.
As mentioned above I tested my hypothesis and, if you still doubt what I am saying, you are welcome to do the same (just be sure to clear all cache and history if you have already viewed the pics in question, because the browser will load them from there whether or not you are logged in).
As always, I have no plans to go against the wishes of my friends who so graciously share with us here. I was merely saying that there was little practical reason for limiting reposts. It was not my intent to create some sort of uproar.

So what you saying is that even though someone might repost a pic in a comment, if the original poster deletes the pic from the thread it won't show up anymore in all the instances it was reposted? If so, wow, and thanks for the education!

If the attachment is deleted in Lit, the URL's (links or pics) that reference it will no longer point to an actual file and will no longer work.

You can test my theory regarding visibility of reposts by non-members yourself by following the method I explained above
I only recently figured this out myself. As I do not normally visit Lit without logging in, I had also, as many people incorrectly do, assumed that reposted pics were visible to non-members. My testing today reveals that this is NOT the case.

As far as I am concerned I am perfectly happy for anyone to repost my attachments onto my thread or anyone else's for that matter. But that is my view.

WELL......My goodness.....quite the stir! Wanton and Emmy, thanks for the education on the "repost" issue..........we certainly were under the impression that if someone reposted a pic it would be there forever.....obviously we were mistaken....
