This is going to be a serious D&D rp! I am going to be a dm, controlling all the monsters and the likes, and I will not have a character, i will be the one controlling the actions, the monsters and the challenges, so I will not be needing a Player character. I will be expanding this thread a bit today or tomorrow, until then, I want suggestions for sites with character sheets and dice rollers. :rose:

I have three storylines planned and I'd like some thoughts, suggestions and characters.

1st: The Keep of Kaust (Forgotten Realms)

In the realm of Faerun Toril, along the jagged mountains in the Frozen North, lies a large keep called the Keep of Kaust, Kaust, which means Beauty and Seduction in an ancient language, the keep is a stronghold for the Dragonborn (race of dragon humanoids, without tails) Lord Havash Sunfang, who is facing many battles in politics and open warfare. He has asked for aid from adventurers, mercenaries, scholars, other lords and his own family, but his aid is rare as with his stronghold so secluded in the Frozen North he has few ways of getting that aid. And now the aid has come as at the borders of his lands a grou pof adventurers from different lands and races have gathered to aid the Lord with his unstable rule.

2nd: The Black Forest

This is the one exception where I have designed a player character for me to use.

A group of adventurers, lead by someone who wants to make claim upon parts of the unexplored lands, have traveled to the forest rich lands of Greenfawn, where the monster and animal rich lands is a great beginning for brave adventurers starting on their quests for fame, glory, adventure, gold and faith. But the safe havens of these lands are few and hard to reach as the black woods of Greenfawn are dangerous and cruel even to the locals.

3rd: The Lord of Lust(Forgotten Realms)

In the city of Neverwinter has rumors of a cult of devil worshippers begun to worship a devil, a lesser devil, but still a devil, of lust, and wild sexual situations breaks out in the city and causes chaos as rapes, fetishes and demons begin to infest the walls. Adventurers of all the lands are called in to aid against these infernal dangers, though they might fall to the devil's power themselves.

Thanks for the suggestion, I have found some good sheets at Myth-Weavers and a character generator for the lazybums who do not want to work out their character sheet slowly. :) www.pathOguy.com remove the O and you get the link. Remember that when yo ufinish the character generator and see the result, paste those results into your character sheet on Myth-Weavers

As nobody has shown any voting interest yet so will I say that the Black Forest is the one that will be the rp I will use. I will just put up the entire story.

The Greenfawn, a land of endless trees, many water sources, bright sun, few open spots of land and even fewer mountains, this is a relatively new land to the people of the world of Graum and it is being targeted by people all over the world who wishes to claim the lands for their own. Among these peopel a young brash nobleman named Charles Sunbringer, who is taught in the ways of the sword and holy magic, though he doesn't like it himsel, seeing it as a burden rather then a purpose to serve a higher being.

He wish to throw off his family and god's shadow and become his own light and make his own path into the world, and he wish to start by founding a new kingdom in the lands of Greenfawn, taking his possessions and gold he leaves his home and has gathered a crew of settlers who wishes for a chance to become part of this new land, the brash and vocal nobleman bringing them the courage to do so. The holy warrior and his ten ships are sailing towards Greenfawn, and during this trip he begin to mingle among his new subjects, and soon finds himself in the company of a grou pof adventurers who had grown tired of the taxes on the adventurer guilds, taking fifty percent of their earned gold and items was not something they saw lightly on.

But danger lursk even before the shores of Greenfawn has been seen as the ships sails across the ocean, many dangers lieas ahead, and bellow.

I am interested, too! I'll try to get one of those character sheets working for me...

I might mention that I'm not completely familiar with all the nitty-gritty details of D&D dice rolling, numbers and all that, but if you're willing to guide me, I'm definitely up for it, and I'll do my best to make a good story.

Forgot to mention this. If you psot a good enough back ground, describe your character's past job, childhood, growth and thel ikes ,then you might recieve a bonus item and a bonus to either abiltiy score, feats or skill points. :)

I have some information about the rolls and the starting stats.

First: Ability Score Rolls are following 6d6, you roll six six-sided dices, remove the three lowest numbers and ptu them together, you repeat this, eight times, and then remove the two lowest of those eight rolls, here's an example.

Roll(6d6)+0:
3,3,6,2,4,1,+0
Total:19

Roll(6d6)+0:
6,2,3,4,3,5,+0
Total:23

Roll(6d6)+0:
2,2,5,2,1,3,+0
Total:15

Roll(6d6)+0:
3,3,3,5,1,4,+0
Total:19

Roll(6d6)+0:
1,4,4,3,1,1,+0
Total:14

Roll(6d6)+0:
2,6,5,6,2,1,+0
Total:22

Roll(6d6)+0:
4,4,6,6,2,5,+0
Total:27

Roll(6d6)+0:
4,4,4,5,1,6,+0
Total:24

NOTES
-------------------------
This field records your latest roll at its top.

Modified results that would produce a number less than one display as one.

Okay now that you have rolled you count the three lowest numbers and remove them.

Roll(6d6)+0:
3,6,4+0
Total:13

Roll(6d6)+0:
6,4,5,+0
Total:15

Roll(6d6)+0:
2,2,5+0
Total:9

Roll(6d6)+0:
3,5,4,+0
Total:12

Roll(6d6)+0:
4,4,3,+0
Total:11

Roll(6d6)+0:
6,5,6,+0
Total:17

Roll(6d6)+0:
6,6,5,+0
Total:17

Roll(6d6)+0:
4,5,6,+0
Total:16

13, 15, 9, 12, 11, 17, 17, 16

Remove the two lowest, 9, 11

this leaves you with

Would anyone like to give some suggestions, editions and the likes? I am open for ideas and plot lines, I have a lot of ideas myself, but it is always fun to read other people's ideas as well. I have come up with a character sheet to show on the OOC thread, to give the others a good view of what the characters are like, without having to look through the sheets every time.

Name:
Age:
Gender:
Race: (Some races have level adjustments, but have bonuses, so be careful at what race to choose.)
Class:
Profession: (What you work as before you were an adventurer of when you're not adventuring)
Ability Scores:
Strength:
Constitution:
Dexterity:
Wisdom:
Intelligence:
Charisma:
Companion(Druid/Ranger)/Familiar(Wizad/Sorcerer): (Name, gender and race will do for now)
Personality:
Appearance: (image will do)
Background: (make up as you go, more fun that way then having restrictions, but do nto go overboard, like son of a god or the likes.)

As I mentioned in the race section ,some races have bonuses, but level adjustments, makes it harder to level, thus if you want an unique race, please check out these sites, you will find some interesting information there. :)

i will post when i get a shot im tryign to come up with a good back story and what class do you suggest for a wizard

Errrr, Wizard is a class, Wizards are capable of learning all the spells, though if the specializes in a specific school they can not learn from the opposite school, so generalists are better in that area, but they cannot cast many spells. But Sorcerers can cast a lot of spells but cannot learn them all, which makes them limited in choices to spells.

hmm im looking for scorcerer then but i her certain Races get stat bonuses on classes

Well, a race that is more fit for sorcerer then others would be easily to find ,you just look at the race you want to be and check Favored Class. But you do not really get a bonus, except for certain races and they usually have level adjustments. Favored Class just means you can multiclass easier if you pick that class. Oh and could you write a bit more properly, I cannot understand parts of what you write.

I am Sorry. I have to take my Time more often so i can write properly im trying.

Glad to hear. As long as you're trying to improve yourself then nothing's wrong. :)

Anyhow, I have finished my own character, Charles Sunbringer, and will be posting the sheet I designed to show how it is done.

Name: Charles Sunbringer
Age: 19
Gender: Male

Class: Paladin
Profession: Nobleman/Merchant.
Having been born into a rich and noble family Charles was not just taught swords, books and proper behavior, he was also taught how to do business as a merchant, his family were a strong member and supporter of the Merchant & Trader's Guild.
When he turned twelve he was taught how to count, do good business, earn a good prices, haggle, bluff and charm costumers, within his fourteenth birthday he was taught how to do large scale business and caravan trades, it was harsh for such a young boy to have such high expectation and hard work pushed at him but he somehow managed to get through it all.
And at his sixteenth birthday he was pulled away from the works of a merchant and trader and was taught only the art of the nobles and the paladin, though he had preferred the merchant training, it had been at least a bit fun.

Intelligence: 16
Charisma: 20
Personality:
Appearance:

http://th07.deviantart.net/fs12/300W/i/2006/269/4/e/Paladin_sketch__by_Dawn_Naoto.jpg

Background: Born and raised in the land of Georgia, in the city of Djorn Thara, the capital of Georgia, he was blessed by the God of Light, Order & Justice, Thalmas, as a newborn, marked as a paladin, an enemy of the unholy and the evil. As he grew up Charles was not happy about his childhood, while he wanted to play with other children and have fun, he was constantly being pushed into lessons in knowledge, sword fighting and etiquette, he had not much of a childhood, excepted to be a paladin when he turned eighteen and join the Order of Light they gave him no choice for his own future.

At his eighteenth birthday he was made a paladin, though not willingly as they had put an Hold Person spell on him to keep him still during the ceremony. He was given a magical blade of fire and an armor of light, after the ceremony he was given the duties of a Paladin and was constantly sent out over and over to fight evil, undeads, demons and the likes, mostly just a show for the people that the Order of Light was not standing idle for the threat of darkness.

Finally a month after he turned nineteen the young nobleman Charles Sunbringer, gave a passionated speech of how he had not been given the slightest option to decide what he was to become, he had been forced, manacled and forged into a paladin and was not given the slightest of options whether HE wanted it or not. After his long speech he took the symbol of the Order of Light off his neck and threw it to the ground and pronounced that he was leaving Georgia to make a new life for himself in the lands of Greenfawn, to make a new kingdom, and anybody willing would be allowed to join him.

There was of course some violent protests against this but against a man who was taught to fight, speak and count since he was but a small boy, could the lazy nobles and priests not do squat to stop the man as he turned his back to them and Thalmas. And soon enough his fleet of ten ships took sail towards the new world of Greenfawn beyond the ocean, and a new life begins for him and those who have joined his voyage.

There you go Drakkwall i hope everything is in order tell me if i gain or lose anything i am used to like D&D v2 or something i think

Very interesting character, thoguh I think you should put 18 on your charisma, as tha'ts what gives a sorcerer his power as he is a charisma focused magic user, unlike wizard who use intelligense.

And remember to check out the bonuses you get as an elf, as not all elves are the same, moon elves, sun elves, dark elves and the likes. but I think you coudl make a good base character for an Arcane Archer. You need of course weapon focus: longbow or shortbow, point blank shoot and base attack +6, if I remember correctly. But check otu the srd pages to be sure. I will write u pthe bonuses for your character here bellow.

Wandering Sorcerer (Mercenary): +3 Gather Information, +2 Knowledge (all), +1 Charisma and Bonus Feat: Dodge.

Bonus Item: Wild Weave Staff. (A quarterstadd with +2 enchantment and 1d6 [Random element] damage.)
