Actually, my dear, ( I know you love that), I have discovered that people like being entertained.

Since I get so much entertainment value out of the global warming and environmental and animal rights crazies, fringe groups all, I feel obligated to return as I receive, some entertainment value in most of my posts.

Now, what could be funnier than a zoo just for Liberals?

I mean they would be well fed and have their nits picked for them and provided ample opportunities to mate. That way they could be happy, although confined, but then, individual freedom has never been a big thing for the left anyway, now, has it?

Obama cant save America from whats coming, and it aint gonna be pretty to watch as it unfolds. It wont be his fault, but he'll pay the freight bill for it. By July there wont be many libbies on this board singing his praises. And in 2010 the GOP will take control of the House again.

Abraham Lincoln presided over an American holocaust on Hitler's scale, selecting a group of people and then committing genocide? I didn't realize that. I do realize a lot of lives were lost in the Civil War, but I never thought to compare Lincoln's actions to what Hitler did. I'll have to go to some right wing website and do further research. Any suggestions?

I think its fair to say that Lincoln would have been like Hitler if the South were passive about his violations of international law and the Constitution. He pushed and the South pushed back.

And Lincoln, as most wingnuts are fond of pointing out, was a republican.

Lincoln ignored Supreme Court Habeas Corpus orders. I doubt he complied with any Supreme Court ruling while he was President. He approved summary executions of Rebel prisoners until Rebels hanged Union prisoners in retaliation. He violated Britains sovereignty over her own ships by stopping them and removing passengers. He violated other nation's sovereignty by confiscating Rebel ships docked at foreign ports. Rebel prisoners were routinely murdered and starved at Union prisons. Union cavalry murdered slaves along with other livestock.

He also ordered the largest mass hanging in U.S. history, that of 38 Santee Sioux on December 16, 1862 in Mankato, Minnesota. He wanted to hang 303 men, but was afraid that if he did, the Europeans would enter the Civil War on the side of the South.

Their crime? Starving because the Indian Agents were selling the food intended for those on the reservation to white settlers, several young men took eggs from a White settlers land.

That sort of clandestine competition is feasible with short distances to large populations. How possible is it with the distances between population centres in the US?
