Teen Titans: The Next Generation OOC

Between the very powerful heroes and the numerous insanely powerful villains, I stopped trying to be creative and came up with something somewhat cliche. I have some ideas for him that aren't really presented in the bio so just bear with me for a bit. This is the only RP I could possibly play this in, anyways. Sorry if you posted pictures, I appreciate the help, but this guy had the right look. The concept is essentially a normal guy with no interest in heroics but can't ignore the abilities he has. Since most of the other characters so far seem pretty content with their status as a hero or villain, I felt it might be a more interesting dynamic. (Though I do admit I didn't read every bio carefully, so sorry if there are any unintended similarities.)

Name:
Michael Dalton
Appearance:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v394/adus11/michaeldalton2.jpg

Height: 5'11"
Parents: Unknown
Powers: Enhanced Strength/Speed, Flight, Various energy attacks.
History: Michael has almost no memory of his early life, something that plagues his mind constantly. After years of searching without leads, some would consider giving up, though it was difficult to ignore the superhuman abilities he carried for as long as he could remember. Such things gave Michael the impression that he had a purpose of some sort, but no clear path, no direction had ever been given to him.

In a city that had been nearly decimated to ruins by various 'villains', Michael was now on the fence about his purpose. He didn't particularly like people enough to actively save them, but such mindless destruction had never felt right either. Was he supposed to join in the pointless decimation of a city, or ally himself with the diminishing protectors?

Personality:
Rather serious and uncaring. Doesn't make friends or trust anyone easily. More often than not puts himself before others. He does carry a somewhat dry sense of humor, though. Very stubborn. Despite having excellent combat abilities, he doesn't particularly care to fight, but when forced, he'll take battles seriously and he especially hates to lose.
Sexuality: Straight
Hobbies and Interests: Music. Flying alone. Detective shows. Thunderstorms. The symphony (Yeah, what of it?). His sword (Given his abilities, it serves little purpose, but if you point that out to him, you may get stabbed. He just likes it, that's enough for him.)
Dislikes: Probably too many to list, but mainly people in general.

Theme Song: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Yxt9iv1fyRI

I guess he's technically neutral, but likely will join the hero side.

Now, to figure out how to enter with everything going on... Anyone have some cliff notes?

SAVE IT. SAVE IT. *poke* You might be able to use at least a little bit of it.

I actually hadn't written anything for the thread since I'm waiting for others to catch up.

Still, kung-fu fighting fish, sharks with laser beams attached to their heads....all we'd need is an elite group of octopi with a gun or sword in every tentacle and Ronan could take on all of the villains in the city on his own.

Problem is he'd have to wait until decided to take their semi-annual trip on Sister Blood's yacht or something. Dammit.

>> Does she even have a yacht?

If she doesn't, then Ronan's wasted a lot of time and resources. You know how hard it is to find swords and guns which still work after months of underwater training??

Eh, at least there's always a job working security at Sea World.

Attack of the insanely long posts looking into that thread. Any particular details I should know before posting? Initial post will just be sort of introductary, I don't think I plan on interacting with anyone right off. Just like, about what time is it, the status of the city, things like that.

Well, it's morning now... And since Jules is a bit troubled... The sky should be cloudy and gray. >>;

And the city has it bad. VERY BAD. It's runned by the Queen of Spades and is inhabited by villains. Also, heroes are prohibited. They will be killed. Yes. It's the price to pay for being a superhero.

Right now, everyone is meeting everyone, pretty much.
They still need to settle in a lot of them.

That's actually useful. All the more reason for my guy not to want to be a hero, lol. Though in order for me to play in this thread, something will eventually have to happen to drag him in..

I am sooooo resisting the urge to post. >>

lol

Waiting for Unseen.

She said she'd bite me if I did.

...There's a conundrum, though.

I like bites.

xD

Yes.

....

I will be posting after she will be. >> 8D Or before.

Personally, I'd kill off her characters and replace them with a mime whose power is the ability to act out all of his attacks only seconds before they actually effect their target and a wisecracking monkey who does his talking for him.

Actually, that's a pretty good idea. Too good of an idea for this thread. Back off! It's mine! *locks notes in a box and takes off*

...I posted. >>

BECAUSE THE ALMIGHTY TALLEST CAN!

Probably a good thing Michael is listed as Neutral. I was gonna say put him on the hero list, but I guess I can't rule out the possibility that a villain sweet talks him first.

Also, I've got a couple questions about your character.

He's got multiple personalities it seems?
If so, is he aware of them?
If so, uh doesn't that seem like an occupational hazard? Especially when one appears to be this universe's ultimate evil? It sort of seems hard to be a hero and save the city with that on your resume.

Either way, I'm envious of your seemingly endless amount of creativity, but I also think this character is downright confusing. -_-

lol

Yes, he does. He does have three personalities. ...If you count his emotions, then more.
Yes, he is aware of them.
It is. His mother wants him to be good. She is protective, but sees that the boy can't remain cooped up with no life whatsoever. She hope it will help further develop his skills with dealing with, well... negativity, and bad people, and the like.
He is a hero... Never said he will remain as such. Not when you are practically considered the embodiment of another dimension's "satan".

I feel bad for Jules. ...I don't know how long he can remain good. >>;

the worrying this about that is that if Harvey takes Julian into his confidence, and then one of Julian's other personalities take over, then they'd be in a perfect position to manipulate harvey that his darker personalities comes out, so that Julian would then have a Henchman or an Ally.

lol.

Well, it's more than that. Are these identities capable at manifesting themselves at any time without warning? If so, then it shows considerable poor judgement, possibly even pure stupidity, on Julian's and his mother's part, simply for letting him in the tower near other heroes in the first place.

If these identities do manifest, he's right next to the city's last hopes, where they live and sleep. Even if they can't randomly manifiest, but can some other way, when this way is reached, they'll know everything about the current Titans already from having lived with them and worked by their side the whole time.

In fact, that's another question. Do the teammates know of these personalities? If so, they're showing poor judgement by being around him, too.

Anyways, this is just an opinion and I'm not telling you that the way the character is written is wrong, just this seems like an immense, chaotic risk for everyone involved for the simple reason of 'hopefully working with good people will suppress his violent sides.' I'm mainly just curious about the logic behind it all. Honestly, even if you were to tell me that it isn't logical at all and you just felt like playing it, I'd be cool with that. After all, I made my cliche character for the simple reason of playing a character I felt like playing.

Or you can just tell me to shut up and play the game. That works, too.

2 villians.... An One hit surpriser and Harvey's Darkside....

Name: Jen Crane
Aka: Domino (Formerly Princess Clown, Princess)
Powers: Immunity to all Toxins, Super Agility, Increased Strength.
History: Jenny Crane is the twin sister of Harvey Crane (Aka Joker), and the clone daughter of ScareCrone, 2-face, Harlequin and Catman. She was raised in secret by ScareCrone, and along with her brother, she was trained to be the perfect supervillain.

Now while she exiled at her 'job', she was never thrilled with the idea, and hated hurting people, and if it wasn't for her brother keeping her on the straight and narrow (Hahahaa - yeah right, but you know what i mean), she would have quickly turned and become a hero.

Then the pair came along Harlequin. it was a fight which would change their lives for ever. Harlequin, insane and pissed off at the appearance of his children, of which he'd not known about till then, when crazy and stabbed Jenny before running off.

Harvey, believing Jenny to be dead, left, and joined the teen titans.

He was right in a way of course. Jenny WAS dead. But Jen wasn't.

Due to their genes and being the children of 2-face, Jenny had a darker personality hidden with her mind, and when Harlequin stabbed her, he hadn't done a good enough job and Joker had being wrong. The body still lived and Jen quickly came to the surface and took over.

Now all she wants is to Kill, Steal, and have fun. Oh and she wants to put her brother through hell, for harvey isn't her real brother.... that would be his darker side.

Shut up and play the game. :p

Eh, GV or even Unseen are probably better suited for answering this stuff then myself. Personally, Jullian being on the new team doesn't seem much worse then how the Titans keep letting Raven rejoin them in the comics, despite how often she's turned crazy/evil and started trying to kill people and/or help her father regain power.

Seriously, it's like the DC Universe version of Jean Grey dying and coming back.

a mother will never see the true evil in thier son, no matter how deep it goes they will always think theirs hope, and his mom did keep him away from the world for quite some time (going by various OOC postings) but she wanted him to see the world, to be free, to experience life, ect ect ect...

as to why eddie didnt argue, well in the last thread, he basicaly had to do anything Beastgirl said, like a slave, so im guessing he might have argued some, but didnt succeed. (also, couple this fact with the knowledge that hes one of GVs creations, makes for some fun mental imagery from those two)

besides, Ravenor stated the contingency plan quite clearly, if anything happens, he promises to make it as quick and painless as posible

of course, all of this is just my quick interpritation of the facts, if there was a memo saying what was going on, i didnt get it (i sometimes get the feeling they send them out behind my back)

No there are warnings... if anyone bothers to notice them.....

yes we will all be supremely fucked if he does go all evil

I don't actually know if people know about all his personalities..certainly not Vladie there.. but Mallory and Alice probably know about Trigon

and Alice being Alice she tends to be blind towards her friends major faults in a case of what I've liked to deem terminal stupidity..

Also we actually have three heroes with 'dark sides' if you want term Alice's sleeper cell programming that her subconscious is currently fighting against (i.e. those lovely nightmares of hers) a dark side...... though now that I think about it ..it does seem a little too vanilla to qualify..

though darkAlice amuses me in the most gruesome of ways
