I saw the questions last night, but was too tired to answer.
It's on my upper arm. It took about an hour and a half. The cutting, which took about 3/4 of the appointment, felt about the same as a tattoo. but the removal hurt like a bitch. And the center circles he used a dermal punch which hurt pretty bad too.
Unlike a tattoo, however, it's going to keep hurting! I was keeping it wrapped with cling-wrap. My artist suggested up to three weeks, but i got a nasty rash around the rest of the skin. With work, keeping it wrapped isn't really an option. Every time i would do a stage set it would move, plus the rash is just gross. So yesterday I let it breathe. I figure a scab at work is better than it moving and exposing raw skin. (Strip clubs aren't exactly known for being sterile environments.) Starting today I will have to start aggravating the tissue. The goal is to make the biggest, best scar. I scar pretty well, but just as extra precaution. I've got a toothbrush to use in the shower, and I bought hydrogen peroxide to lower the acidity. (I'm too chicken for lemon juice.) It won't be a full scar for about two months, and then the scar will be "settling" for up to two years.
I'm taking a picture every day for anyone who is interested.
That is awesome, April. I am interested. Feel free to link it to me in a PM if you'd like.
