Did I tell you that I make floggers out of rope? It's a very classical thing to do, very nautical. And "v" adores them. I need to make a few more, as I have ideas for alternate designs.



(And now I'm imagining Shanks with one after the "Captain" comments. My imagination can be an interesting place sometimes... =P )

Here's a few more. My folks decided to get the kids, so "v" and I had an enjoyable evening. Here are the pics of the breast bondage with inverted prayer that I put her in. Only three pics, as the tie is relatively straightforward, and the non-straigthforward bits are concealed, sorry.

This was not based off of any particular tie. I decded I wanted to do breast bondage, dd some wrap-bindings, and just went from there. Turned out pretty darned good for something that was unplanned =)

Something to be said for living close to your folk ... many time they might be getting in your hair but they are the best babysitters ever ... too bad mine are too far away ...
Anyway hopefully we will be able to take advantage of a baby-sitter night and get to try my new rope ...

Thank you, RO. I really do try to make the whole thing work with the body, as opposed to making the body work with the rope. Just sits better with me that way. Then again, I'm all about pretty rope, not excruciating ties.

One of my favourite bondage photo shoots was done by Bruce at esinem.com (well, he did the tie, I don't recall who the photog was. And the model is the lovely Syban). It was called 'rope bunny in her natural habitat' or somesuch in his e-mail, and was of a model in a bunny mask. I enjoyed the ropework, and loved the humour of it. Bruce has a great site =)

For the one or two people that might be interested in technical merits, the back side of the main bindings is sloppy as hell. IT is the nature of the beast to an extent, as each wrap distorts the shape of the breasts a bit more. "v" is not small in that area, and they shift and move each time she breathes, shifts, scratches gets tightened in the rope, etc. So it was a constant battle to keep those wraps straight and in place without compromising the visual lines by adding ties to those bindings themselves. As a result, the bindings got adjusted like 16 dozen times, and the back side suffered.

The wrist bindings had similar issues. Given the position, compression of the radial/ulnar nerve (can't remember which right now, but I'm leaning towards radial) was inevitable. As a result, her hands were going numb. So I had to readjust the bindings occassional to relieve pressure on those nerves. And this, sports fans, is why you should know your shit before you tie someone in a stress position (even as low stress as the one I used last night). If you are not familiar with how blood moves, you will cut it off. If you are not familiar with where the big nerves are, you will compress them.

I took the chance for a couple of reasons. First is that I know just enough about anatomy and ropework to know what I was mucking with and how hard. Some compression, for controlled lengths of time, is acceptable and harmless. It doesn't feel good, but as I said to one of my guest stars, "What? You expected rope bondage to be comfortable?". The second reason was that I was controlling the time period. I wasn't doing a lot of intricate work after the wrists were bound. Third was that she was going to be changing position, and the changed position was likely to help remove some of the stress.

And always have those shears on hand. Your rope is less expensive than the health of your rope bottom. Always, always, always have an exit strategy.

Thank you for sharing the new pics! Both "v" and the ropework are beautiful. I had to go back and look at that first shot twice. There's just such a contented, happy look on "v"'s face. Almost meditative.

Makes me think rope bondage is something I should try someday!

Thank you. Ropework puts us both in that mindset when done correctly. It is meditative for her, as, after all, she basically stands still for however long it takes me to tie her, and simply surrenders herself to my artistic whims. I could wirte a few pages on it, but I'm bloody exhausted and about to pass out, so you'll just have to look at the pics and take my word =)

I do, however, suggest it highly. Well, that's obvious, but it is a peaceful experience compared to a lot of the practices we normally undertake.

And, on an unrelated note, I've figured out the 'magic braid' and this new rechnique should definitely add some spice to the crotch ropes I tie :D
