If it bothers you then I would suggest you stop reading it. The AH isn't so busy that activity on a single thread is bumping aside whatever it is you do want to read.

I'm sure the "Last person to post here wins " threads aren't difficult to locate. The people who run into a thread and declare that everyone should stop talking fucking crack me up. So stop reading, stop bumping the thread with "Stop talking about this!". Put me on ignore, whatever. I really could care less.

Running into a room and just yelling at everyone to "Shut up and play nice." isn't really helpful. If you can manage to stop LT's little years long crusade of lies and slander I'd be more than happy to oblige, good luck with that.

And part of the thread is that people keep walking in, refusing to comment on the actual topic of the thread, and saying it's not worth it, and then leaving. And then coming back.

I think the topic is worthy of comment. If you don't, that's fine, pass on by, but if you can't be bothered to have an opinion, then don't have one.

It's not as if I go into every hobbyist thread where someone's discussing pins and say "Are you guys still talking about pins?" and then walk out.

It's a pattern. You might not have noticed it, I've read every post, however.

3. Various parties, including Recidiva and Loving Tongue, allege numerous provocations from the other side. All of these have the effect of claiming, "I'm nasty to her/him because s/he did something nasty to me first." Recidiva, in particular, apparently claims that LT's conduct in some way offended/provoked her, and hence she was justified, by way of retaliation, in suggesting or implying the label 'nigger.'

4. No one other than the parties, at this point, can possibly untangle this web of 's/he did it first' claims, nor has any interest in the matter of whose provocation was first, and whether, indeed LT's alleged provocations merit his being assigned that label--perhaps as a metaphor-- by Recidiva.

5. All parties apparently want to continue indefinitely in their obsessions, apparently hoping to prevail, and apparently thinking that others have some interest in their ongoing conflict (else why do it publically). I do not see any sign of such interest.

6. LT, in his search for a remedy or to embarrass his opponents is not going to succeed. He suffered an injustice which may or may not have been provoked, but which the alleged offenders refuse, over months, to remedy. That is the nature of the GB.

Those who prevail are never better or right, they're just willing to stay at the keyboard for months and keep posting whatever nasties they wish, forever. Wiser folks desist from such eternal battles, figuring that the public, if indeed it had an interest at one time, has long since made up its mind as to rights and wrongs, or simply is entirely fed up with the unending process.
