Well, my real life tells me differently. And that's what I have to go on. Fortunately or unfortunately, I know so many more people, black and otherwise, who listen and understand. And for them I'm grateful.

You've granted me more power and more hate than I possess. I don't have either of those things, certainly not toward you. This whole trolling thing has actually been endearing. I do care more than I did when I had the theoretical argument with you, that you then turned personal in a way that is simply stunning for something I consider so minor.

What I have is my own opinion, and I get to keep that. Getting slammed for having that opinion just reinforces my opinion.

Real hatred, real racism, is very different than an opinion about a word. Or an opinion about someone else's opinion about a word.
