GM pulls sponsorship from "Survivor: Race Relations"

For a show that ended taping a month or two back its hard to imply that negative reactions caused them to end the groupings isn't it?

Are you assuming that the negative reaction was only heard after taping? Surely this concept was under fire many months ago.

The outside isn't kept unaware of what's happening during production of a show. Going by when the media breaks the story seems a bit unwise.

What happened was typical modern American gutlessness...like starting to fuck and then pulling out before the job is done.

They decided to do the racial theme to get ratings (all TV execs are ratings whores; the honest ones admit it up front). But before anything interesting could happen--you know, anything that could get the feminists or the NAACP or any other PC fanatics upset--they integrated the tribes. I'm sure that was planned ahead of time. Maximum return, minimum liability and risk. Typical corporate bullshit.

Personally, I think the NAACP, feminists, et al didn't/wouldn't have bothered to get upset, because they knew how it would play out - as you describe above.
