I agree. Unfortunately, I don't think it's going to happen. Way too many Christians that want to force their values on others.

This amendment disallows any defined arrangement between any two parties except one heterosexual man and one heterosexual woman who go through a traditional marriage ceremony. No more common law marriages, and obviously, no same sex couples.

Since when does love have anything to do with a partnership? Marriage, in the government sense, is partnership between a man in a woman for the purposes of certain tax breaks and raising children. Love has nothing to do with it.
