Star Wars Saga System - Recruiting

I'm planning a star-wars game, using the D20 Saga System (help will be available if you want to play but are not familiar with the rules). I'd rather play in one, but that seems unlikely at the moment.

It will be mainly about plot, rather than a thinly veiled excuse to have sex with exotic alien species ;) - if sex and/or relationships happen between teh crew and/or the people they meet, then that is fine but Iwould rather see most of the effort going into advancing the plot, not getting into each others flight-suits ;)

That said, a balanced mix of 2 male and 2 female characters would be nice.

I will be Game-mastering, not playing, and am looking for 4 committed players - or 5 if somebody is willing to play a droid.

Background:

About 15 years after return of the Jedi, within a year of the New Republic signing a non-agression treaty with the Imperial Remnant as led by Grand Admiral Pellaeon. its an uneasy truce, but allows some trade and some mutual law enforcement, mostly related to piracy, smuggling etc.

The character are New Republic agents, specifically the crew of a scout ship - probably a captured MRX Pacifier. Whilst these are not usually used by the republic, this one is used by the New Republic as a covert tracker, whose mission is usually specifically to secretly track known pirates, slavers or smugglers to their base of operations without being detected.

Characters would be level 3 and must be capable of fulfilling a useful ship-board role as well as having useful planetside skills. Players must therefore plan character creation together to make sure that everyone meets those requirements without too much overlap.

You need to very much be mission specialists, as you are being selected for a mission requiring highly skilled individuals.

One character may be a Jedi.

Max players is 4, or 5 if one is a robot.

(Sorry, she hasn't written up the scout :/)

HOUSE RULES:
Use Computer is a class skill for ANY character that does not have the "Primitive" species trait.
Weapon Specialization - instead of a flat bonus, it offers a bonus of 1 damage per DICE.
If we do use a grid for combat, the D&D rules for moving diagonally will be in effect - the 1st diagonal is 5 feet, the second 10, the 3rd 5, etc

Suggested Crew:

Remember, this is an existing team, put together to do a specific job, so everyone should be good at their job.

The ship is a four man craft with 3 gun turrets and pilot operated torpedoes, so Ship-wise, it makes sense to have most characters skilled with ship weapons - pilot and 2 gunners minimum..

Also, the mission profile is to track criminals through space without being spotted, so a pilot with decent stealth would be handy (and the scout stealth tree would also be useful). For the same reason, a sensor operator with a high computer use skill and the ability to reroll (via certain tech talents, luck talents, or perception talents/racial abilities) would make a lot of sense.

It would be handy to have:

Pilot - preferably with stealth skill. Should probably have the vehicular combat feat especially if they are not a Scoundrel. Could be a Jedi, if they can get the stealth skill somehow (via the training feat, or racial preference or multi-classing perhaps)
Gunner - with either heavy weapon proficiency or another means of being proficient in vehicle weapons. Or just such a high BAB+Ability score that they are good with guns even with a penalty, but why not both?
Sensor Operator/astrogator - needs high use computer skill. Acute Senses talent would be handy!
Mechanic (who could be auxiliary gunner, or could be sensor specialist)
Optional - commander. Commander could fill any one of the other roles, or be 5th character if one of the others is a droid.
You could have 2 pilots - one for stealth piloting and one for combat piloting

Non ship operations:
Skilled combatants (ranged and melee)
A breaking-and-entering specialist.
A medic
A negotiator.

Races of note for this mission Profile:
Rakata: reduced penalty fr non-proficiency from 5 to 2, making them potentially effective gunners without need of feats.
Cathar: Get stealth as a class skill so could make a good stealthy jedi pilot
Arakanian Offshoot - tend to be very good a particular skill, due to free skill focus feat.
Iktochi and Duros - both of these races are excellent pilots
