I bought a memoir of a Tampa cop. He writes of Tampa tween 1960 and 1980. I lived in Tampa at the same time.
The memoir is not The Godfather, but its highly accurate except for the PC fro m 960-1980, there was no PC. And the memoir is filled with PC outrage. WTF. When he speaks of the Cracker bigots from Wimsums I recalled that Wimauma was entirely orange groves and tomato fields back then. Migrant Mexicans and niggers did the labor, and were bused in from Tampa. Almost no one lived at Wimauma.
