THREADMASTERS STATEMENT OF INTENT

This is the ULTIMATE “Story Feedback” thread.

The purpose of this thread is to identify and honor those authors who entered a LITEROTICA “Special Contest” and who had their story signaled out by the vast LITEROTICA reading public.

In the past many readers have complained that the OFFICIAL LITEROTICA awards do not truly reflect the will of the people, that instead they’ve become the playthings of the elitists of AHland, a group that continually expresses their disdain for the average men and women who flock to this site every day to read our stories.

And so the ASSOCIATION of INDEPENDAT READERS was born. In each contest the stories that receives the “MOST VIEWS”, the “MOST VOTES”, the “MOST COMMENTS” and has the “HIGHEST RATING” will each receive an ASSOCIATION of INDEPENDENT READERS (AIR) award. It'll be our readers direct feedback, not some backroom politicking, that will decide these winners!

Going forward AIR hopes to present these awards at the end of every special contest in 2010 and with the help and financial backing of
ScouriesWorld we envision holding an annual awards gala in Miami Beach every February (probably in conjunction with the annual 1000+ VOTES CLUB meeting and the ScouriesWorld Winter Seminars.

We of course welcome feedback (on this thread and to the winners directly) from LITEROTICA'S reading public.

This is the biggest load of crap I've seen out of you yet Scouries.

It's also the only way you can get a win in any contest.

You've nominated yourself time in and time out and trashed everyone who even got mentioned in a contest but this takes the cake. Now you've decided if you can't win then do the next best thing and make a new list where you can name yourself and your alter ego Sarahh as the real winners.

For those that don't know by now, Grand High Poobah is also one of Scouries alts so anything under that name is him.

Your usual bullshit multiplied by ten.

I don't want to get in the middle of this thing, but I gently suggest that you remove this scuffle and others like it to the Awards and Contests forum or perhaps the Author's Hangout.

Let's be serious, this has virtually nothing to do with Story Feedback.

Huh? Doesn’t have anything to do with “STORY FEEDBACK”?

The feedback from our readers has nothing to do with story feedback? What would you call the VOTES and COMMENTS that the wonderful LITEROTICA reading public makes on our stories?

Gabby

p.s. FYI the first A.I.R. AWARDS were posted in the Awards forum - the QUEEN herself moved it out...

Her moving it says a lot about what this crap is worth. Absolutely nothing. It's more of Scouries bullshit. He seems to think that he can make up the rules and the winners of contest to suit him and only him. Cheating and bullshit are all he knows. Maybe he should spend all this time on his writing. Maybe then he might win something for writing and not for bullshit.

And the most irritating author in the contest was: andtheend who continues to believe these special contests are SURVIVOR contests and that quantity wins. Please sir, no more Special Contests entries this year – you’ve used up your allotment for not only this year but next year also.

LITEROTICA’S READERS SHAMED YET AGAIN!!!!

I must admit that this one takes the cake! We’ve had some extraordinary poor groups of winning stories in a contest before but I believe this one outdoes them all.

I’d been warned by a Palace insider that the QUEEN :cattail: had decided to give db the prize some time ago (which is why I didn’t enter this one) but I must say I had no warning that all three winners would be Sci-Fi stories.

Does anyone in AHland or all of LITEROTICA for that matter really believe three Sci-Fi stories are the choice of the readers of an Erotic story site? If so you should immediately give up smoking crack.

Checking just now I found that 94 Sci-Fi stories have been released in the last 30 days. Of these 87 (93%) were scored above 4 and 53 of those above 4.5 (57%). The median score 4.52. Our three winners were the sixth, twenty-third and fifty-second highest rated Sci-Fi stories for the month.

So that makes them the three most popular stories according to our readers in the contest? I THINK NOT! Quite frankly the choice of these three stories is an embarrassment to the QUEEN :cattail:, to MANU :D, to every author, and to the millions of readers who visit this site every month.

Here’s a case where the QUEEN’S :cattail: manipulating of the real voting numbers has come back to haunt her. It simply makes her look
like someone caught with their hand in the cookie jar while highlighting the crookedness of the voting system.

BTW Another Sci-Fi story by the supposed winner (Amber Lamps by LL) in April received 21 votes and a 4.14 rating…

Meanwhile the QUEENS :cattail: results for his contest story supposedly produced 117 votes and a 4.79 rating. Yeah right.Who does she think she’s fooling?

The other interesting thing about the winning story is that as far as I’m concerned it violates the spirit of the rules of the contest. Contest rules were changed some time ago to get rid of these chaptered stories. One of the reasons for this was because we wanted to have all contest entries to enter the contest on an even footing with all others.

LL aka db chose to ignore this and entered a story that is the third or fourth(?) story in a continuing series. Which gave him a tremendous (and unfair) advantage over the other entered contestants. He already had a following for the story and his previous versions had driven away those who might otherwise read it through and given him a low mark. (He also used the “write a long story and bore most potential voters” technique)

Next year he’ll probably write Cousin of the Wood and he’ll win another prize. And then in 2012 he’ll write Brother in the Wood and with his fourth straight Earth Day prize.

Did he cheat? That’s up to you and how you interpret the rules.

Did the QUEEN :cattail:? Of course not, it’s her rules and she changes them on her royal whim do whatever she wants.

Shame on you both!!!!

And that's the reason ScouriesWorld sponsors the ASSOCIATION of INDEPENDENT READERS AWARDS. To counterbalance this stupidity...

Yammer, yammer, whine, gripe, bitch, moan.

Previous post loosely translated:

"I'm gonna bitch and moan again about not winning yet another contest when I have millions of adoring fans who I know voted for me. Of course, the fact that they never show their faces in any of my threads doesn't prove anything! I know they're out there! They email me all the time and my mommy lets me get on the computer and check my email several times a day!

I really need to win a contest! I have to pay for my sex change operation with the prize money since I got laid-off from my Walmart greeter job!"

===

Oh boo-fucking-hoo. Get over it already. Laurel doesn't give a shit about you. You're nothing but a two-bit writer with delusions of grandeur. Perhaps if you could actually rise above your way over inflated ego, you'd actually manage to get published in the REAL world for REAL money. That won't happen though because you're a two-bit author writing for a FREE porn site.

Are there lots of blinking lights in your world?

Here we go again

I don't get it. Am I the only writer here who agrees with you and who thinks you are right? Or is it that the other writers who write here don't publicly support you for fear of retaliation in the way that they ostracized me, took away all my red H's, bashed all my stories, lied about me, and treated me with disrespect?

The fact remains that we writers who write and post are stories here are fools. We not only write for free but also we are not treated very well. So, why do we continue to write here? There aren't very many places to post what we write. Yet, it's painfully obvious that the contests are not fairly run. It's always the same people winning. Why is that? It's sad that we writers put such effort and creativity in our stories only to be used.

Surely, with nearly 50,000 writers and with typically a pool of 60-120 stories entered in the monthly contests, there's enough stories for various authors to win. Yet, time and again, it's the same names appearing on the list. I don't get it. Why is that? How can any one writer win more than once in the course of a year, when there are so many talented writers writing so many great stories?

Granted the winning stories, usually, are good and the writers who write them, usually, are talented, but their winning stories are no better than some of their others that were written by writers who are equally as talented.

Is it that Literotica has favored sons and daughters, plants, so that they can make it appear that there is a legitimate contest and they are paying out real money or is the whole thing a sham?

If it smells like a fish...these contests are fishy to me.

Now, had the winner of the Earth Day contest entered his story in the Survivor Contest, it would have been disqualifed as a templated story. Correction. I apologize. If I had entered a story, such as the one that won in the Earth Day Contest, it would have been disqualified as a templated story. Further, had I entered a story, such as the story that won the Earth Day contest, it would have been disqualifed as a chapter story. Go figure. It sure smells fishy to me.

Every AH regular would have railed against the dreaded Bostonfictionwriter, Scouries, and Sarahhh, had we won. No fear, we'll never win a contest here. Not that we aren't talented writers, who create wonderful stories, you tell me why?

Yet, those who haunt the forum board 24/7 and who have amassed tens of thousands of posts, we all know who they are, by their avatars that they truly believe represent them in real life, embrace their familiar winner again and again.

It's time the contests were open for every writer to have an equal chance to win. This voting system is not working. We need a panel of judges, that change with each monthly contest, to vote for the winning stories.

I'm disappointed with the way that contests are judged here. It's insulting. Nonetheless, I'll continue to write my stories. I just wanted to post my opinion.

Only, I'm curious. Who's turn is it to win the Nude Day contest? I'm sure the winner has already been chosen the the winning story decided. I'd just like to know in advance so that I won't waste my time voting on stories that don't have a chance in Hell of winning.

ASSOCIATION OF INDEPENDENT READERS

Last night the Board of Directors of the A.I.R. met into the wee hours of the morning as they grappled with the issues raised by the charges that have been laid against the author known as darkboy, a.k.a. les lumens.

Historically the A.I.R. has awarded it’s HIGHEST RATED story prize in the various Special Contests to the winner as selected by the QUEEN :cattail:. This in spite of the fact that her highness has never allowed for any sort of transparency in the voting process.

Given the charges that are now flowing around the QUEEN’S :cattail: selection the Board decided that it was time to revisit this question. After long and heated debate the following was decided:

1) A.I.R. will no longer automatically award the QUEEN’S selection as our HIGHEST RATED story.

2) A.I.R. will now compile the true vote totals and ratings and make it’s award based on these figures.

3) In compiling these ratings all votes made by entrants in the contest (both for their own stories and other authors stories) will be removed. The Board believes that authors shouldn’t have the right to vote in any contest they’re entered in.

4) The votes of immediate family members will also be removed prior to scoring.

5) All other legitimate votes will be counted – the days of the “sweep” are over under A.I.R. rules.

6) Cheaters will be disqualified.

And so it gives us great pleasure to announce the winner of the HIGHEST RATED story award in the 2010 EARTH DAY CONTEST (after removing the cheaters and the now illegal votes). It is:

So I'm just curious, will you share your royalties with the winner? I mean, Literotica pays the REAL winners in the REAL contests, so it's only fair that if someone wins YOUR made up contest, they should win some cash too, right?

Although, if you do decide to actually pay the winner, how happy will she be to receive Monopoly money? It would be fitting, however, to pay a winner of a made up contest with made up royalty money.

This should be fun to quote the next time you start screaming about Romance stories winning contests :D

Quoted in its entirety so he can't change it later. Well, he can, but the original will still be there. :)

A post from the A.I.R. Head
Miami Beach, Florida

Last night the Board of Directors of the A.I.R. Head met into the wee hours of the morning as they grappled with the issues of the shortage of air pumps that dispense uncontaminated A.I.R.

Historically the A.I.R. Head has rendered it’s HIGHLY INFLATED opinion on the merits of uncontaminated A.I.R. This is because of the fact that she has never allowed contaminated A.I.R. into the folds of her precious and delicate vinyl skin.

Given the charges that are now flowing around the INFLATE A DATE'S home state, the A.I.R. Head decided that it was time to revisit this issue. After long-winded debate with the bicycle tire pump and several patches to the many leaks found, the following was decided:

1) The A.I.R. Head will no longer allow the fill valves to be exposed to the elements.

2) The A.I.R Head will now have her fill valve inspected on a daily basis.

3) Should the A.I.R. Head's fill valve be found faulty, it shall be replaced immediately at a cost of no less than fifty Monopoly dollars (that's the pretty light blue bills for those who've forgotten).

4) Upon replacement of the A.I.R. Head's fill valve, extensive testing will be done to ensure no contaminated air passes through.

5) The new fill valve must meet the requirements of the Florida Department of Environmental Quality before being permanently installed.

6) Faulty fill valves will be immediately destroyed.

And so it gives me great pleasure to announce the new fill valve I had installed this morning has passed all inspections and I am once again a fully-functioning blow-up doll.

Yours sincerely,

Gabby
