Thanks for input i haven't posted it yet in story ideas because I'm not looking for someone to write the story.

I was looking for feedback if people think the why question is important in incest stories or for that matter even cuckold stories.

For me, motivation is important.

"I wanted to" or "I was in lust" just makes the whole thing just another stroke story.

Good stories should have character with depth and interesting plots. It's like the difference between suck-and-fuck porn films and major studio movies.

Without a good "why", there probably won't be any plot and the characters will probably act like puppets.

The only time I explored the son-mother subject was in the story "Hot Tub and Forbidden Fruit." The mother in this story was finding herself in turmoil after seeing her sun constantly in the nude. Emily, the couple's live-in mistress (who is also the son's lover) persuades her that as long as she understands that's it's all about lust, and that there's nothing wrong with lust as long as everybody is on the same page, she should go for it. And she does. They spend the night together, and satisfy their curiosity.

The subject comes up again in another story "Hot Tub with Magic Mushrooms," and it ends up with the mother fucking the son again while her husband fucks the daughter as the family is all going through a psychedelic experience. Under these conditions, normal propriety has gone out the window and the participants use this to express their love for each other.

I've written several incest stories and try to build into them a sense of inevitability. To me, that's the most fascinating part. Well, that and the ramifications of "Holy shit, I just made love to my . . ."

We're sexual beings, but breaking that taboo is a tough one. I try to imagine those circumstances. How far would you go if you could? What would it take to make you interested in going that way in the first place?

Mother / Son is a tough one and although I have a few published here, I have been told in comments one a couple that they got together too easily.

I have a sister / brother / mother that from the comments seems to work for the readers. They express they can feel the love between the three.

I have found that it's really easier with cousins / aunts / uncles. I have a cousin that, actually several, I would have jumped in bed with given the chance, but all of us grew up in a very catholic way and it never materialized.

Now I did have an aunt come on to me. We almost got together, but before we could, her parents sent her off to college. She was actually only my half-aunt.

So, like Bucky, I have imagined what the motivation would be, hot female relative, neither one of us having a problem with the relation thing and we were just expressing out "love" for each other, never intending having children or getting married. It was just fun.

Would I do any of them today? No. Mom passed quiet sometime ago, my cousin is happily married, my half-aunt is happily married and live way far away, other cousins and aunts are either passed or living in old folks homes. And I'm almost there myself, so I'm too old to do anything but think about what could have been. But, never with Mom. I didn't have a sister so...

Looking back over my posted stories, I was a little surprised at the number that involved incest - Father/Daughter, Brother/Sister, Uncle/Niece, Grandfather/Granddaughter. Probably says a lot more about me than my characters.

Typically the female is young, confused, needy, looking for acceptance and attracted to the older family members.

Why? Sexual attraction that overcomes any other prohibition (religion, social mores, laws, etc.).

I think it follows the old hippie adage, "If it feels good, do it." And, of course, it feels very, very good, doesn't it--and who doesn't want to feel good?

Obviously, family relationships are closer and more bonding than relationships with strangers, so familiarity and shared living space also plays into opportunities for family members to engage in activities that eventually result in sex. They may regret it later, but while it's happening, they're in their own little world of sexual excitement.

Some of my observations from what I've written and what I've read...

1. Sense of duty - mom/dad dies or leaves, so the child steps up to comfort the parent left alone out of duty and commitment, stepping into the role of the one who abandoned. I think this works in all family situations

2. Aggressive brother/sister/child/cousin thinking with genital organs and pursuing their "victim" until the victim finally gives in

3. The world has crapped on us, and all we have left is our family bond, and we take it farther than society allows. This is one of my favorites, because it can easily become a romantic story, which is what I prefer to write in this category, although not always.

4. Then there is the good old "accidental first time" that is so good they can't stop.

why would you need to justify sexual attraction between two people? Especially if it's a STEP-son/daugher/mother/brother/sister/dad.

I don't think you need to justify that in literature. Also your justification are what would actually break any suspension of disbelief for me. Mom and son simply feeling attracted is much easier to swallow than "mom taking a job of fixing her slut son".

BTW in the real world most incest is non-consensual, where one of the partner is raped or coerced into sex by a family member.

If I read the OP's post correctly, he doesn't really mean "justify" so much as "explain in a plausible way."

To "justify" incest means to demonstrate that it is acceptable. There's no need for incest stories to do that.

What they need to do is make the incest in a story seem plausible, or at least somewhat so.

The basic answer is: sexual attraction. We're sexual animals. A man with a strong sexual libido will be attracted to an attractive woman, regardless who she is. That she is a family member creates a dramatic barrier, but it doesn't change the fundamental rule of attraction. This is the thing that drives sex, whether it's incest or not-incest (I'm talking about Literotica fictional incest, not child abuse in the real world).

There's no need to explain why a healthy, horny young man would look at his healthy, hot mother as a sexual person. What is needed is to deal in a plausible way with the various taboos and barriers that exist, and to explain plausibly how and why the characters would get past those barriers. There's no need to justify what they do -- just to make it, more or less, explainable.

I write incest tales but do not seek to read incest. I approach writing incest as a puzzle piece -- how do I make believable the breaking of the greatest social taboo? My essay What Is Incest? notes that IRL incest is ugly, that what we read here is totally fantasy. So I write fantasy tales.

I see a range of fictional rationales. Maybe the fuckers are unknowing, or compelled, or stoned, or traumatized, or repentant, or careless, or curious, or distant, or manipulative. Seeing Dad naked isn't enough.

I avoid the brutal reality: most incest is child rape. Power figures -- older and bigger relatives, teachers, coaches, ministers -- these are the child rapists. They do not figure in the fantasies I write.

Ditto. I don't like conflict and bad things happening, so I stick with my versions (even if only in my head) since so many writers invoke problems. My versions stay fun and happy.

I haven't done or written of any roleplays. Yet.

RP where unrelated folks PLAY at incest is pretty vanilla. In some scenes, a guy asks a gal what she thinks of incest, and if she's not negative, he asks, "Will you be my sister?" If it's kinfolk in sexual RPs, I see these possibilities:

* They only talk or text, never touch. I'd call that mental or social incest.
* They RP themselves into sex. If PIV and closer than cousins, it's incest.
* One mentally roleplays ie fantasizes about the other. More mental incest.

Now you make me think of RP incest. Brother and sister RP as their parents or grandparents. Parent+offspring or aunt+nephew or uncle+niece RP as a couple. Is any of this harmless? That depends on power asymmetry. Has one held power over the other? Does an adult daughter feel compelled to RP with her Daddy? Does bro blackmail sis into RPing? Those are harmful, yes.

One of the ways to justify something in a story, (not just incest), is in the back story. Setting up the characters and circumstance of the story. Justification can be simply a circumstance that leads to an expected or unexpected event. You don't always have to justify something in story, sometimes stuff just happens.
