I think it's safe to say Hillary is largely responsible for Trump wining the election. She was seen as a disaster and, if she hadn't bullied and bullshitted her way to winning the nomination, somebody else would have won it, and that person very likely would have won the election. This is a moot question now, and there's no way of proving it, but it does seem logical.

Dums failures were 1) not nurturing local, state, regional candidates in prior decades, a talent pool for national office, and 2) not building a media empire. Gups got the optics down. Dums are too corporate and general. And polite.
