So... if I'm not bringing home money to pay the bills and keep the house going, what can I contribute? I can't fix or build anything. I don't know anything about cars to help with those problems. Because of my hands, I can't move paving stones. I don't have any rich relatives that might die and leave me a bunch of money. So yeah, I don't really have that much to offer. Work... that's pretty much it.

3.2 miles in 47 minutes! :D

Ok so not professional athlete level but a personal best and a great milestone. :D:D:D:D

I love to work with wood, to sand it, take it down to its essential self, and then bring it back up to a high polish of delight. I run my hands all over it like a lover and smile deep within when I see it glow.

Completely agreed. Before I left for boot, my Dad asked me to help him out with furniture...I finished off a bookcase, dresser, china cabinet, and shelf...today they're some of our best memories

Oh, that is so cool. I'm glad we share a similar love of wood-work. It truly is beautiful to do it. To imagine someone will enjoy those pieces for years and years and a little piece of you is in each of them is simply priceless. :rose:

Completely in agreement. I'm within two courses of finishing my certificate in furniture building. I'm not really all that good but some of my classmates make stuff out of wood that will give you a woody.

-chuckles- Just takes a lot of practice.

Now my grandfather, oh man if he ever decided to get into making furniture he could definitely run a business out of it. But he does it more for fun, last year he made my mother a cabinet that just is...wow. But for him, its relaxing and knowing he did a good job on it.,
When my dad was growing up, there was a guy whom lived next to him, worked hard in a finance company all day, but when he came home, his relaxation was his workshop. Just said the chance to build something meant more to him than all the money he made at his day job.

I gotta say I love that description...'make stuff out of wood that will give you a woody.' :)

I'd love to see it, and I'm WAY impressed that you're almost certified in furniture building. If you ever go into business, we should work together. I love it more than I can say.

And, Jag, you need to come onboard too. We'll all make furniture, finish it to perfection, write porn, and take long walks in the sun......:rose:

The little monster is deffinately, gonna be a lit-izen...he calmed right down when I was checking earlier and then began fussing when I logged out and checked elsewhere...

I'd love to be seated at a dinner table across from you in a small bistro in the French Quarter where they serve the best beer and seafood gumbo. We could eat and talk all night.

All I'm doing is trying to remember that there is no right answer to some things....including the lack of an answer. So, do I give an answer that makes me feel better? Do I ignore it? Do I give an answer because I need to have documented proof that I responded to her "charges" against me?

*sigh*
